Peaceful place not directly on the beach but is within walking distance of everything
Acanto offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful boutique hotel experience right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The property is tucked away from the crowds but only steps from the beach and famous 5th Avenue, making it easy to explore shops, restaurants, nightlife, street performers, local attractions and easy access to the ferry. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and exactly as described. The bed and sofa are extra hard (we walked to Walmart and purchased a mattress topper which solved that problem), and the small kitchenette with full size refrigerator was a huge plus. While at Walmart we picked up a few snacks, bottled water, juice & groceries and enjoyed preparing a few meals via stove top, in our room on days when we wanted to relax and enjoy the property instead of dining out. The highlight of our stay was the incredible staff. From the moment we booked, Lau provided excellent communication and helped arrange wonderful anniversary surprise decor for us in our suite and even recommended an amazing restaurant in a cave for our anniversary dinner. (ALUX) Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Housekeeping was thorough and attentive, and the front desk staff was consistently friendly and helpful. While the complimentary breakfast is simple, the service was excellent and always delivered with a smile. Oh and the pictures are spot on room looked exatly as what is shown.

Acanto is a great choice
The property is very well kept, perfectly located, and staffed by friendly, helpful individuals! The 1 bedroom suite gave us that extra room that helps make the stay more comfortable. The room was clean and quiet.

Perfect and peaceful boutique hotel.
This was our 3rd time staying there. Love the location and the peacefulness once inside. Very comfortable beds and the morning breakfast is a wonderful treat.

We stayed 2 weeks at Acanto. It is a peaceful oasis in the midst of everything ! We loved it! Close to the beach and the bustling 5th Ave. Breakfast was ok..basic continental breakfast. A beautiful place , rooftop views, well cared for, very clean and friendly staff. So nice to have the option to make lunch or dinner ! A perfect holiday!!
