Atlantis The Royal

We have just spent a truly magical stay at Atlantis The Royal, and if there is one thing that stands out above all else, it is the exceptional welcome we received at the Royal Sea Lounge.

From the very first moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and a level of attentiveness that never wavered for a single day of our stay. The team has a rare gift for anticipating your needs before you even express them. Always with elegance, discretion and a natural sense of hospitality that simply cannot be taught. You don’t just feel well served here; you feel genuinely cared for, remembered, and looked after.

The food and drinks were outstanding. Breakfasts, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, consistently excellent quality, beautifully sourced, and always impeccably presented. Every single visit was a treat.

A very special mention must go to Chanal, whose exceptional kindness, attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly at home from day one, he is an absolute credit to the team and someone we will remember long after this trip. We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to Rahman, Sadhev, Rana and Amir. Each of you went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and your kindness, professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on us. You are, quite simply, the reason this stay became something we will talk about for years to come, and Atlantis is truly lucky to have you. Our sincere thanks also go to all the other members of the team whose names we haven’t mentioned individually, every one of you played a part in making this experience so special.

Our stay at Atlantis The Royal was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, safe, and looked after. Even during these uncertain times, the professionalism and warmth of the front office team gave us complete confidence that we were in excellent hands.

The hotel itself is simply breathtaking. Every area was immaculate, beautifully designed, and maintained to the highest standard. Our room (7548) was absolutely stunning, with spectacular views overlooking The Palm. It truly exceeded our expectations.

The people, however, are what made this stay unforgettable. Our butlers, Chit and Bobo, treated us like family throughout our holiday. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The housekeeping team also deserves enormous praise, they kept our room spotless and went above and beyond every single day. We were delighted to leave them a well deserved tip when we departed. Th amenities are so lovely!!

Our dining experiences were exceptional. On our first evening we dined at Carbone, and it set the tone for the rest of the trip. The atmosphere was vibrant, the restaurant was buzzing, the food was outstanding, and our waiter delivered some of the best service we've experienced anywhere in the world.

We also enjoyed dinner at the Persian restaurant, where the chefs made us feel incredibly welcome. Their hospitality and passion for the food were evident, making the evening truly memorable.

Breakfast each morning at Gastronomy was a highlight of our day. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and I particularly loved the little Moët moments that made breakfast feel extra special. A special thank you to Mohamed, who looked after us so well every morning with genuine warmth and professionalism.

We spent most of our time relaxing around the Royal Pool, which was fantastic. Although it's a family pool, it never felt overly noisy or crowded. The butler service there was exceptional, with attentive staff who continually ensured we had everything we needed.

The team at the Beach Bar also deserves a special mention. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable to chat with. They added so much to the relaxed atmosphere and made each visit a pleasure.

The only area that didn't meet the incredibly high standards set by the rest of the resort was the Nobu Pool. Unfortunately, the reception team came across as quite unfriendly, which was disappointing. Throughout our visit, we also felt there was a strong emphasis on encouraging food and drink orders. As my husband doesn't drink alcohol, this felt a little uncomfortable at times. On one occasion, I arrived with a coffee from breakfast and was stopped from entering with it. While I understand policies exist, the situation could have been handled much more discreetly and sensitively, and I left feeling rather embarrassed. Sadly, because of this experience, we probably wouldn't return to that particular pool.

If I could offer two small suggestions for improvement, they would be:

The concierge WhatsApp service could perhaps be a little less aggressive. While we appreciated the communication, the tone of messages sometimes felt a little unfriendly during what was meant to be a relaxing holiday.

It would also be wonderful if the room fridge had a little more space for guests to chill complimentary bottled water. After spending time in the Dubai heat, having cold water readily available in the room would make a real difference.

Overall, these are very minor points in what was otherwise one of the most exceptional hotel experience. The service, attention to detail, world-class restaurants, beautiful facilities, and genuinely caring staff made this a holiday we'll never forget.

Atlantis The Royal is a spectacular hotel, but the real highlight of our stay was our room attendant, Channaka. He looked after our room with incredible care and attention to detail - it was spotless and beautifully presented every single day, and he seemed to anticipate the little things we needed before we even asked. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he always greeted us with the warmest smile in the hallway. That kind of genuine, thoughtful hospitality is what turns a great hotel into an unforgettable one.
