This hotel has always been our favorite but it has gone down hill in the last 12 months. There are restaurants closed or have limited open times.The pool areas are getting really tired. We ate at 3 different hotel restaurants this time something we have never had to do. On the plus side the staff are fantastic and really try me make your stay special.
Not clean
Very disappointing experience – unacceptable cleanliness and service
Our experience at Anantara The Palm was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard expected of a five-star luxury resort.
We booked lagoon access, only to find spit and old, used plasters beside the lagoon. This is completely unacceptable, particularly in an area where guests and children are swimming and walking barefoot.
The room was also unclean, and the service throughout our stay was terrible. For a hotel positioning itself as a luxury resort, basic cleanliness, hygiene and attentive service should be the absolute minimum.
What should have been an enjoyable, relaxing stay was instead a very disappointing experience. Given the prices charged and the hotel’s reputation, I expected considerably better.
I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience
