Lovely hotel. Stunning pool. The pool team, iPak, Susil and Bedh are excellent.
Amazing facilities, staff, and food. Special thanks to Dipak and Sysil who really looked after us
Amazing place, cosy ambience, great service in particular the Concierge, the pool staff (Deepak, Susil, Bhuwan top!) and the SPA male therapist. The room was fantastic, comfortable, great quality of the furnitures and the amenities. Hospitality at a very high level
I absolutely love coming to the Palace Downtown and come here regularly because the staff are so amazing. Susil and Dipak always help to set up towels, and are always a friendly face! Kareem their waiter is kind, anttentive and efficient. Thank you to everyone at the Palace Downtown!
I have stayed at this property twice over the last period. The prior stays went without an issue and the service lovely. However, I booked this trip and was let down with not only poor service but a disingenuous response (I was being “Handled”).
Having booked my accomodation well in Advance, I was sent a message 48 hours prior to my arrival telling me (not asking) that I had been booked at another of their hotels (rather than Palace Downtown). If you know Palace you will know it’s a traditional decorated/presented property (very Authentic). They booked me at Address Downtown and attempted to pass it as an upgrade! But Address is modern (which is an experience I could receive anywhere). So definitely a downgrade not an upgrade. While they “handled” me in their responses, they continued to advertise the same room category I chose on booking platforms (I’m guessing to keep money coming in and to ultimately farm new clients to their partner hotel. Now the response I received was that due to the conflict in Middle East they were understaffed.. which would be acceptable had they stopped taking bookings over this period, but my booking was made in early May and as such the reduced capacity would have e been known for months!! So why continue taking bookings that would not be honoured. Unprofessional and unethical. Upon my messaging all I received was sorry there is nothing that can be done.
