I have just gotten back from what has been my favourite and most memorable hotel stay in my whole life. I have been lucky enough to stay here twice before this and at a few other MO properties around the world so I am aware of the levels of service that is provided but this stay was above all levels anyone could dream of from a hotel stay

For context also, it was my partners birthday which plays a part in this. After having to rebook the stay 3 times due to the Middle East situation, we finally had a set date and flights. We had booked with a great deal for a room that included half board. The restaurants included were 2 at the hotel and 2/3 at the other MO property in downtown. Only 4 days prior to our flight, we were informed that we would only be able to use 2 restaurants at the property and not the other hotel. For a long stay, having 2 restaurants available with half board is far from ideal especially when you are eating from set menus. This made us panic as we already had had so much rebooking stress and something else had “gone wrong”. We were confused and didn’t get much response apart from the addition of another restaurant at the hotel. When you pay for something you are excited for and to be able to visit another hotel for food, it is disappointing to be let down especially so soon to our visit. In the end, we emailed the GM Werner who provided more than enough help and support which left us feeling very happy and excited again.

Fast forward to arrival, we pulled into the hotel and had actually been misled by an uber driver at the airport who claimed to be our driver when in-fact he was not. Then he tried to overcharge us once we arrived. One of the bellboys, whose name I did not get, who opened the door, was confused why I was disputing so much with this driver. He stayed with us the whole time even after being told to leave by the driver and ensured we did not get scammed. This made us feel part of the family from the get go.

Check in was smooth and done by a very kind woman who’s name we did not get. When we arrived in our room, we were greeted by the most ridiculous display of birthday balloons, birthday cake, chocolates, fruit and a very kind hand written card. This act of kindness made my partner and I feel so welcomed. This is also a theme that continued throughout the whole stay and for every single meal during the stay, we were given a birthday dessert after the meal. Where else do you get that?! I already knew how amazing and clean the rooms are at the hotel but again this re affirmed it. The sea view room is also a MUST.

Speaking of musts, the club room is also one. The level of personality and remembering of small details about guests continues throughout all the hotel from the pool staff, breakfast staff and room cleaners but the club room is another level. The staff in there remembered all small details about us and our orders every single day and even learnt what we enjoyed. Special mentions go to Khalid and also the lady I believe was from kyrgisthan (sorry if I got that wrong!). The breakfast is so much more personal and peaceful there, the afternoon tea is incredible which is served every afternoon and the pre dinner canapés and bottomless drinks are ridiculous. The kind of food you would get in Michelin star restaurants. We got so much value out of the club lounge and would never NOT book it when we return. Also, the view is incredible!

On the topic of hotel restaurants, we had set menus due to our deal and some vegetarian options were not too good for my partner as there are some foods she does not eat. They were able to adapt and freestyle off the menu at all the restaurants. Netsu is incredible and they cook it right infront of you in some of the seats. Tasca we went to twice and was served by the incredible Dimas who when we returned, remembered our whole order from a few nights before which we re ordered. The bay was also incredible and we visited that twice. We could not understand why it was the quietest of all restaurants as the food is to such a high standard. The wagyu and tuna tartar were some of the best food I had eaten in dubai but these visits were made special by Abubakar (I hope I spelt that right!). He was the most friendly member of staff I have ever encountered. He spoke deeply with us about so much and we even got to take a Polaroid with him on one of the special The Bay taster canapé nights in the club lounge! Isaac at the bay breakfast was also outstanding and so kind and attentive.

Another aspect that has to be mentioned is the room cleaning and turndown. I sleep with one pillow and my partner 2. From the very first night, they took note of this as my pillow was off the bed and EVERY night after, they made my side of the bed with one pillow. I’ve not experienced such level of service at any hotel. Aman, 4 seasons etc - nothing comes close. Not only this, this theme continued with waters. One night I requested 3 waters - they brought six. Most hotels would bring you what you ask for (or sometimes less!). Then, every turndown after, we were welcomed with many waters because they get to know you! All turndowns included a self care note or yoga pose left on each pillow. They also were very good at sorting out our funny requests such as a pencil sharpener, fixing a light that would not switch off, blister plasters etc. I still cannot believe it. The amazing room which is ridiculously big plus this incredible, touching service just made us feel like royalty! Random welcome drinks and ice lolly’s are also always a massive plus! Also it’s important to mention the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Lots of dubai hotels have many people who just want to take photos or party which isn’t an issue for many people but this is not a place you will really see this.

The property as a whole is incredible. It only opened in 2019 but they are currently renovating which I could not believe as it has not aged at all. The pools are turquoise blue with luscious greenery surrounding them. The beach is pristine. The call to order buttons on each pool bed are amazing too. They would honestly attend in 10-20 seconds. The spa is lovely too and if I’m not mistaken has been voted the best spa in dubai multiple times? Oh and if you love pastries you will have a great time. I’m not sure how anyone could create any better pastry or cake. The cake shop in the hotel is full of the most extensive creations and they are also supplied at breakfast. This breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and I’ve continued to say that since the first time I stayed here in 2023. The quality for one but the wide array of options for all people. Vegans, vegetarians, gluten free, religion etc. seriously who needs 8 types of honey! Although they got rid of acai at breakfast:( (probably the biggest flaw of the whole stay). Infact, this is just the best hotel in dubai. Fact. Other guests we spoke to agreed. ONO on the palm and the Bvlgari are the only two I have not tried that could rival this. Nothing else comes close - Atlantis royale, jumeirah hotels etc. However I’m not sure id ever want to NOT go to the MO to find out!

I could write all day about how good the hotel is and the experience we had but I’ll let you try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed and you will never want to go anywhere else (or leave!) Amenities 10/10. Food 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Service and Hospitality 20/10. Over the moon. Thank you MO family <3
