Grand Hyatt Residence

This was perfect for our family of 5, 2 bed apartment, kitchen lounge 3 toilets/2 bathrooms, washing machine/dryer dishwasher. Bring some washing/dishwasher tabs from tabs from home. Full use of all the hotel, which has super easier access. I prefered this to the hotel, for the size of the apartment. Views amazing we had 1603 apartment. Lifts super quick no waiting. Average priced supermarket on sight but very small. Swimming pool is great, waterpark didn’t look up to much and we didn’t go as it was nearly the same price as Atlantis, which we did go to.

We wanted lots of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as the Grand Hyatt hotel itself seemed to cramped in a room and we were not disappointed. The apartment had wonderful views of the khalifa and separate bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and washing room. It was so spacious and we had full use of the hotel pools and gyms and facilities except the water park which we thought was so overpriced for what it was. We stayed here as it was close to the airport for a late arrival and an early departure. The staff at front desk were lovely and the location was perfect with lots of hotel restaurants and nearby others including a bowling alley. Well worth the stay for a family who wants space but have the hotel feel

I am very disappointed with our first day at this hotel. We booked a 21-night family stay expecting a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, our experience on the very first day was far from what we expected. My children, aged 4 and 7, are on an all-inclusive package. Upon arrival, we were informed that the package was valid as long as one parent purchased a drink or another item. At no point were we told that both parents had to order a meal. When we visited one of the restaurants, each of my children ordered a small pizza. An employee then informed us that both parents also had to order a meal. After I explained that this was different from the information given at check-in, the situation was accepted. Later, because our children rarely finish their meals, my wife and I each ate one slice of their pizzas to avoid wasting food. An employee then informed us that this was not permitted because the pizzas were intended only for the children. I explained that they would not finish them and that we simply wanted to avoid wasting food. I was told that this was the hotel's protocol. As expected, both of my children left part of their pizzas uneaten. What disappointed us most was not the rule itself, but the way the situation was handled. The conversation took place in front of other guests, which made us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. A little flexibility and common sense would have avoided wasting food and would have made the experience much more pleasant. With 20 nights still remaining in our stay, I sincerely hope management will review this situation. Clear information, consistent rules and a more customer-focused approach would greatly improve the experience for families staying at the hotel.
