Grand Hyatt Dubai

Is near the airport. Upon arrival, reception was swift and very kind to let me check in at 9am as I've told them I'll leave the next day at 7am. They put me in room 603 which is beside a room that seems to be for a patient as the door was always open. Luckily 602 did not make much noise as there was an adjoining door to it.

I booked this hotel as I read it has an indoor pool. Hence I change my hotel to here. I head straight to gym and though gym was spacious - cardio and weights section, the weights section equipment were not well-maintained. The legs curl you can't adjust the seat as it was rusty. There was a group of people doing photo shoot in the gym and went on for more than an hour. I head to indoor pool and boy! What a scary experience. The pool was filled with screaming and poorly behaved kids and parents. Pool was also filthy. I went to their spa section with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. A lot more peaceful but again the photo shoot team decides to shoot the spa area now. None of their shower area works. Hyatt seriously need to go and try using the shower in the lady's restroom. How do they plan to make the spa clean when no one can take a shower before entering? Their 'clever' control panel is so hopeless. Even the normal shower area has no water at 6:30am when I try to use it the next day.

I booked a king size deluxe room which has bigger sqm. Room is well layout but room's carpet is rather filthy looking. They ought to change it. Good touch is they provide a tea port and quite a number of mineral water. Also they use Balmain toiletries. No slipper which I've to request.

I'd lunch with my friend in their Italian resto. 1 bottle of Chablis and 2 ribeye steaks with a side each. Cost more than my room for one night. :)

This place is great for family with screaming kids as place is large and lots of room for noise. Staff are all very polite and nice but I can't find myself coming back here if I've a stopover again.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Room 923. The service was outstanding, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional.

I would also like to sincerely thank Sonu and Akshat, the Housekeeping Manager, for their exceptional service, kindness, and attention to detail. They truly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable.

I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
