👍 The Pros:

• Smooth Arrival: Check-in was fast, seamless, and the staff were genuinely caring.

• Beautiful Rooms:Great sea views, comfortable layout, and reliable hot/cold water.

• Great Breakfast Eggs & Bakery:While we didn't do any lunch or dinner dining, the breakfast buffet at Sheesh features a fantastic variety of egg choices (scrambled, boiled, sunny-side-up, and omelets) tailored to how different people prefer them, alongside highly delicious, soft, and fresh bakery items.

• Entertainment: The evening fire show was spectacular and highly enjoyable.

• Kids Water Play:Plenty of shallow pools, splash zones, and a lazy river to keep toddlers entertained.

👎 The Cons:

• Breakfast Layout: While we were given access to all four restaurants for breakfast, it was completely pointless as all four restaurants served the exact same menu.

• No Adult Slides: Unlike the neighboring hotel, there are zero large slides for adults or older teens—only a basic 1.4m pool.

• Pool Hygiene & Chemicals: Very crowded at peak hours; the water turns cloudy and carries a harsh chlorine smell that dries out skin and hair.

• Slow Hospitality Services: Requesting basic amenities (like toothbrushes) or room service takes 40–60 minutes. A simple coffee creamer order took 48 minutes to arrive, arriving long after the coffee went cold. Maybe staff less in each floor

• Quiet Doorbells: The room bells make a tiny "tin-tin" sound that is very hard to hear from inside the room.

• Limited Post-Pool Activities: After the waterpark closes, there's nothing to do. The two indoor esports/game rooms are small with almost no options except a soccer table.

We enjoyed our sea-view elderly-friendly room that we got cause no other room in peak time , the beach, the excellent breakfast options, and the fire show. However, the lack of adult activities, and sluggish room service means we likely won't return.

We stayed at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai from 11 to 17 September 2026: a family with two children (7 and 13), Family Room Sea View, All Inclusive. This was our third stay in three years; we also stayed in 2023 and 2024. In 2024 we brought relatives here, and this September friends came on our recommendation. The resort got our money, our repeat business and free advertising.

Let me be clear: nobody expected freebies. Before arrival, we wrote to the hotel and asked, politely and subject to availability, for a small gesture of recognition: an upgrade, a late check-out, anything at the hotel's discretion. Reservations confirmed our request was noted. We never demanded a guarantee, but for a third stay we deserved at least some basic attention. If you think you'll be recognised after your second, third or fifth stay, forget it. Nobody is expecting you here.

The welcome. We arrived after a night flight with two exhausted children. The receptionist looked irritated from the first minute: no greeting, no "welcome back". She confused our two bookings and took phone calls while we stood waiting with the kids. Then she called the supervisor, and the two of them discussed us in the third person, right in front of us, as if we weren't there. I had to say, "Please speak to us directly, we are standing right here." The supervisor didn't ask what had happened, didn't listen, made no attempt to fix anything, and simply confirmed a standard room, with the same displeased face. Discussing guests in front of them is a breach of basic hospitality etiquette, and this is a resort that markets itself as family-friendly.

The wristbands. We were not issued our All Inclusive wristbands, the most basic part of the package. For two days, at every bar and restaurant, we had to explain who we were, which room we were in and that we were entitled to eat and drink. Whether it was negligence or indifference, the result was the same: we got no gesture of appreciation, and our stay was made harder. We were made to feel like unwanted, inconvenient guests who have to prove they've paid.

The food. In three years, nothing has changed. The selection of dishes and products today is the same as in 2023, one to one. For a first-time visitor that may be fine. For returning guests it means the resort isn't developing and doesn't even try to surprise its loyal customers.

The hotel's response. On 11 September I sent a detailed complaint and asked for a personal reply from management. No reply. The pre-arrival emails were polite but scripted, and there was nothing behind them. If you're promised something in writing, don't count on it reaching the front desk. Don't expect "wow service": nobody will actually help you. Our rooms were made available earlier than 15:00 only after I said we no longer wanted anything from the hotel.

Bottom line. We are not masochists who pay their own money to be met with sour faces and made to prove their right to a paid service. If the resort doesn't value loyal, returning guests, then we don't need this resort either. We won't return and we won't recommend it. If you're a repeat guest, don't expect recognition. If you book All Inclusive, check that you receive your wristbands. If something goes wrong, rely only on yourself.

Once is a mistake. Ignoring a written complaint is a policy.
