WOW when you first walk in stunning hotel... but sadly that is where is ends.
Hotel is close to the airport but a good 30 min Metro or 20-25 min taxi to Dubai Marian/Mall . As you walked in the hotel looks stunning with a beautiful staircase, well that is to be honest where it ended. We were early so cant check in no problem can we use the facilities no problem, went to the pool its all locked up, went to reception who phoned the lifeguard ill, so will get another one give them half hour no problem, then said we could have a room now, room was lovely a bit outdated and dark but they are obviously doing the hotel up level by level we were on 9th floor. had to ask for another towel as only 1, tv was broken and had a large mark down it we told reception straight away, mini bar was nice touch but be careful it is more expensive than the bar price plus on departure they charged us for Evian water we never had at 50AED!!! so take picture of what in when arrive and depart is my advice.
We went to get a drink they had to go open the bar which is just another part of the restaurant which they didn't open, hardly any drinks in stock, the other levels where they said had other bars/food was all closed up and in dark. the restaurant is open for breakfast which is a buffet with a lot of choice but doesn't change day to day. We asked about food in day/evening it is open 12pm-10pm just come down they cook fresh which is a nice touch and the food was good lots of choice but there was only us in there and not much atmosphere we felt for the staff as they were standing around finding things to do.
Pool area was meant to be open 8am -8pm but closed in and dark by 6pm, i understand if no-one there waste of money but having come back from a day you a swim would have been welcome.
All in all a very disappointing start to a holiday when you walk round and see some of the beautiful hotels. as we had never been to Dubai we didn't know any better.

Beautiful ambiance Receptions and employees were accomodating and friendly Tidy and big room If can include in the complimentary a pair of slipper inside the room Bath towel for 2 people coz we had 1 towel only
SCAM
Scam! Mini-bar fraud at check-out. This hotel is outdated, dirty, and doesn't even deserve 3 stars. But the worst part is the staff. Upon arrival, the mini-bar was almost empty (only a few items inside). However, during check-out, the reception presented me with a fake bill for the ENTIRE mini-bar, claiming I consumed everything. The staff was extremely rude, practically holding me hostage and refusing to let me leave for the airport until I paid. They use the fact that you are rushing for a flight to extort money. Absolute scam! Avoid at all costs!
