Great hotel close to the office i have been working. Excellent selection of restaurants with good food and attentive staff. Very efficient check in. Nicely appointed room. The service in the club lounge was amazing, with Roberto and Teddy taking care of me so well. This is my new home in Abu Dhabi. See you next week.
The best thing in the hotel the room service ( best cleaning man Dilip S)
My stay at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi was wonderful from start to finish. The grand atrium creates a striking first impression, but it is the warmth and efficiency of the service that truly defines the experience. Every touchpoint—from check-in to housekeeping—reflects genuine hospitality and high standards. Arrivals and departures are always handled effortlessly, largely thanks to the phenomenal concierge and bell desk team. A special, heartfelt note of thanks goes to Mr. Monketh from the luggage team. Right from the moment I arrived, he greeted me with a warm welcome and took care of my bags swiftly and carefully. His proactive attitude, friendly smile, and willingness to help made a lasting positive impression. It is dedicated staff like Mr. Monketh who elevate a stay from great to exceptional. I highly recommend Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi to anyone visiting the city, and I look forward to returning soon.
Great service, interesting help from Dilip S.
I first stayed here in 2016 when the hotel hosted the annual Abu Dhabi Chess Festival in August and I've been coming back every summer since then for a short stay. I checked in with Adrianne who I'd met last year and he was very helpful. My favourite suite wasn't available straight away due to a guest checking out late but he kindly arranged to have it prepared for me.
I went to the Executive Club Lounge on the 35th floor which is one of the things I like best about the hotel. It's huge and has a great selection of food for the evening Happy Hour. In fact, it's the best lounge I've ever been to in Abu Dhabi and it's well worth paying the extra for a Club room. I was pleased when the Executive Housekeeper Veranne, who I'd met on previous visits, came over for a chat. I was served by Claire who was wonderful and brought me all the drinks and food I wanted. We also had a nice chat later on as I was alone in the lounge.
I finally got my suite and when I walked in, it felt like coming home and I was really happy to be there so I have to give a big thank you to Adrianne who showed that he knows what customer service is all about. Dil arrived to remake my bed the way I like it and I had a great sleep except for the hotel alarm clock going off first thing in the morning which happens every time I stay there.
The following day Dilip arrived to clean my room and did a great job while I was having a Thai massage at Namm Spa on the 21st floor which I highly recommend. In the evening I went to the Snooty Fox pub which was nearly empty and thankfully had a non-smoking area. I was well-served by Prisca and Achille took the initiative to cover the light over my table as it was too bright for me. The fish and chips were great and I had a nice evening there.
The next day I was very comfortable at the desk in my suite as I had to work for most of the day. I didn't have time to go to their large well-equipped gym but I went to the rooftop pool later on and had a nice swim but trying to get out of the pool was really challenging. The ladders are very short with only two rungs at the top so you have to put your legs above your body to reach the rung then heave your whole body up which is extremely difficult. It would be great if the hotel could change at least one of the ladders for a longer one to make it easier to get out. Also, there are no handrail covers so on top of that you burn your hands on the metal bars while struggling to get out. Just for info, pool handrail covers are readily available for purchase online for about AED 60.
Thanks to Ahmad giving me a late checkout on the day of my departure, I was able to fully enjoy my stay. I wish to thank everyone in the hotel for making my stay so enjoyable and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again next time.
