It’s been an magical one. Its our second time here. Spécial thanks to Sapna for her impeccable service. Will keep coming back !
An Unforgettable Experience Thanks to Sapna and every single staff member we encountered! From the exact moment we stepped into Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, until our seamless check-out, our entire stay was absolute perfection. The property is stunning, but it is the world-class hospitality that truly sets it apart. We want to specifically highlight an exceptional young lady in the restaurant team named Sapna. She functions far beyond a typical Food & Beverage Attendant. Sapna was remarkably attentive, highly skilled at listening to our preferences, and anticipated our needs before we even articulated them. Her passion for guest experience shone brightly when she single-handedly coordinated a spectacular, personalized dinner curated by a talented Sri Lankan chef Pulasthi on the resort's team. This extraordinary culinary experience was a definitive highlight of our stay. We extend our warmest congratulations and thanks to the chef for his impeccable craft, but our deepest gratitude goes to Sapna for organizing it all flawlessly. She is a true rising star, and we cannot wait to return.
The resort is a long way from anything, but that was the idea. Checkin was good, as was the room at the start. Bath in bathroom but no bath items, provided on request after a long weight…but did arrive. Buffet in Bait Al Hanine has a good selection but the serving of it is not thought out by the culinary staff, no knives to cut meat etc. When asked they didn’t understand the need. The service staff are good. The whole resort has pitfalls which are unlit at night where it is easy to break a leg. These look like to have been water features but are now dry. Outside areas in the Dubai temperature are not cooled by any fans or any method as such the concrete has been soaking up heat all day to release at night. Breakfast is Bait Al Hanine again buffet is good. Pool bar panache has some of the best staff in the hotel quick and friendly. Not sure a burger is traditional Arabic fair as listed in the promotional material but it was good. Dune buggy driving was expensive but worth it. Lots of fun as it was a very small group of 3 vehicles two driven by guests. Terra Secca was meant to be the upscale real where booking was required. Turned out it was like a ’cheap’ pizza restaurant buffet. The Al Mesayan was overpriced so back to the. Bait al Hanine for the same food but in buffet form. AC in the room is not great set it was 22 and on high power nothing changes. However the worst thing I have experienced is…I had put the ‘Privacy Please’ sign in my door. I received a call on my personal cellphone asking if I wanted the turndown service as I had the Privacy please sign outside the door. This was from the hotel reception. Why would anyone call me from the hotel when I had requested privacy and they knew it. I found this totally unbelievable from a 1 star hotel let alone a 5 star resort. In general some of the staff are great others on the rooms are ok but in general the health and safety of the whole resort needs a rethink.
Another fabulous return trip to Al Wathba! We’ve been many times to our favourite hotel in the UAE and this time didn’t disappoint! As usual the entire staff can’t do enough for you, everyone is so friendly and accommodating with a personal service. For us this place is magical as we’ve been coming since the children were born for over 6 years and we keep coming back! Special thanks to Sagnik at the pool bar keeping us refreshed, so calm under pressure - I think he must have made 600+ drinks in one single day! He is amazing!! JJ at dinner looking after us! I can’t remember everyone’s names but the ladies in the kids club thank you, to the check in team, the kitchen / chefs (compliments on the amazing food) the lovely lifeguards and senior management we can’t wait to return again very soon! With love Erica, Anton, Sandro & Savannah
Amazing stay, great facilities (spa, pool, gym). Excellent food at both restaurants we tried. We did not try all the activities (horse-riding, archery etc) but did visit the stables and it was great. We will be back to enjoy it more.
Special thanks to Abanoub from front desk and Nicol from kids club!
