Horrible experience with Uday Samudra
ABC Happy Holidays, a Travel House, Pan India , booked a Coastal Room for 2 nights for its corporate guests from 8 th to 10 May and the room provided was very small and unimpressive hence my guest wanted better room or else for a check out option. When I tried connecting to the hotel they didn't pick my calls and after 30 odd minutes struggle some how my call was attended. I explained everything but they were very reluctant and rude in their approach. Somehow with great difficulty a premium sea view room was given with a higher cost. As the guest was not happy, I requested the hotel to shift the guest to the premium room asap, but they said first payment than shifting. Their approach and behaviour was unlike a premium 5 star hotel. Inspite of my repeated requests they didn't listen anything. I paid and shared payment received then they waited further for the payment received verification. In that process another 20 odd minutes passed. The hotel was never shown any intent of the guest first policy. Today on 10 th July during the check out my guest again asked to pay the room upgrade fees as the hotel did not update the earlier payment. After a lot of hue and cry they realised the payment has been made earlier. This is what is all about the great Uday Samudra... Kovalam. I deeply regret of sending my esteemed guests to such a unprofessional place and feel really embarrassed and made a promise to myself to not sending any guests further and sharing this experience to my friends and fellow travelers.
