Perfection at its peak.
Our stay at W Goa, Vagator, was truly special, not just for the property itself, but for the people who shaped our experience.
Mr. Nishal Seebaluck, the General Manager, set the tone. Warm, approachable, and genuinely engaged, he spoke with us about our preferences, shared his career journey, and even noticed me taking pictures, kindly offering to take one of my wife and I together. He graciously extended our checkout time to 6 p.m., which made a meaningful difference.
Chef Avinash took lunch to another level after Nishal personally involved him. He arranged a terrific fish tikka and chicken biryani with his Indian cuisine team, some of the best we had on the trip, and he even checked upon us if the food was served as expected and did a fantastic job serving us just the perfection.
Mr. Anchit at reception made check-in seamless and handled an air-conditioning concern with genuine care and follow-through.
Mr. Pranav from the hospitality team stood out again and again. From first day lunch to breakfast and beyond, he made sure we were comfortable. He asked what drinks we liked, recommended refreshing cocktails, and even served us himself when we were having our own food.
Chef Nikhil was a highlight, starting with a great conversation at Rockpool Bar. For our special occasion dinner, he arranged a Chinese meal with fantastic prawns, chicken, and noodles, plus complimentary cocktails and recommendations for local spots to capture more of Goa's vibe.
Chef Anirudh deserves his own paragraph. He made the best omelet I've ever had, perfectly cooked exactly the way I asked. He served it personally and asked for feedback, which said a lot about his care.
We were also charmed by Ms. Pritha, warm, attentive, and consistently checking in to ensure we were comfortable.
The sports team member, possibly Mr. Azar, ensured our pickleball sessions were genuinely fun, flexibly adjusting timing so we never felt rushed.
The Rock Pool Bar had a great vibe, with excellent cocktails chosen for us by the team and a special server who's probably the best human being I've met in recent years (don't remember the name, blame the great cocktails). Access to Vagator Beach was easy and enjoyable. The rooms were spotless and spacious, the bathrooms immaculate, and the spa and indoor pool felt magical. Food across the property was consistently excellent and fairly priced. From the buggy service to the clean, green grounds, everything felt cared for.
What made W Goa stand out most, though, was the people. Nishal, Avinash, Anchit, Pranav, Chef Nikhil, Chef Anirudh, Pritha, and the sports team member, all contributed something memorable. And if I had to single out one, Nishal's leadership and personal care really embodied the spirit of our stay. W Goa absolutely lived up to the name. We left with fantastic memories and a real appreciation for every little thing they did. Huge thanks to the entire W Goa team. You made this stay genuinely special, and we'll remember it.
An Unforgettable Stay at W Goa – Exceptional Hospitality!
We had a wonderful stay at W Goa, and the hospitality truly exceeded our expectations. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our experience memorable from the moment we arrived. A very special mention to Gargi Dhuri, who went above and beyond to make our 5-month-old daughter’s experience extra special. The beautiful room decoration arranged for our little princess and the lovely cake arrangements were absolutely delightful.What touched us the most was the handmade card personally made. It was such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture that made the occasion even more meaningful for our family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for luxury combined with heartfelt hospitality. W Goa, you made our family moment truly unforgettable!

W Goa Ruined Our First Anniversary Experience
I visited W Goa with my wife for my first wedding anniversary, and they absolutely ruined the whole experience. The primary factor were the absolutely horrible breakfasts on two days out of the three I stayed there. I had heard laurels about the W hospitality and breakfast from multiple relatives that have stayed there before. I was told that they were offered perks like complimentary meals, etc, and that the breakfast timings were relaxed, the substantial breakfast spread, and that the services and food quality was top notch. This was when they did not even visit on any special occasion.
My expectations were high while booking the property for my first wedding anniversary but the stay was extremely disappointing. And I am not even disappointed because there were no complimentary perks offered. I am disappointed because even the basic quality that one expects while booking a normal five star property, was not delivered. Stale cheese, etc. in the breakfast buffet, restaurant staff rushing us on our breakfast table, sub-standard quality of food that was freshly made, and refusal to pack anything from the breakfast buffet on mentioning that we are going for a day trip.
Efforts were made to give a good breakfast experience ONLY after a complaint was made. In fact, there were very little efforts to revive the anniversary experience apart from the one good breakfast, that we were anyway expecting for the past 2 days. We were offered an upgrade to a villa at the very end of our stay when we were fully comfortable in our room and at a time when we wouldn't even be able to make any use of it. We were to shift to St. Regis Goa after our stay in W Goa and even though they are both from the Marriott group, there was no transfer facility by default. Rinkal, our point of contact, was well aware that we were having problems with the transfer and we were not even offered that transfer as a gesture before I specifically expressed my disappointment for the same to Mr. Achint, the director of experiences, who was nothing but apologetic and arranged a single category room upgrade for us at St. Regis Goa, which we were expecting from St. Regis management anyway on mentioning that we are visiting for our anniversary trip.
All in all, I will be informing everyone who recommended me to stay in W Goa, of the downgraded service, food quality and quality of experience. The hotel stay is really not worth the premium price tag. They are only charging because of the brand value and the location. The newly opened JW Marriott may prove to be a much better option, with similar location and way better hospitaity.

Fantastic hotel if you want to stay at a luxury hotel. No direct beach but every good beach is close by. Its not a typical south style family hotel but good for couples
