Colonia Santa Maria is located in the captivating region of Goa less than 100 metres from the beach. Enjoying a central setting in the heart of Baga, guests can explore the spectacular cultural and historical delights the area has to offer.
Nearby, guests will find an array of shops, restaurants and local amenities. Overlooking the Arabian Ocean, the hotel magnificently reflects the beauty of its natural surroundings. Guests are afforded traditional Goan hospitality to ensure they enjoy their break to the fullest.
The hotel's pool offers the perfect place for guests to unwind and relax or enjoy a refreshing swim and the children's pool will keep the little ones happy. The hotel's restaurant provides a superb multi-cuisine restaurant where guests can wine and dine in style.
Please ignore the last post saying "Don't Go". The building work they complained about was actually finished by the end of November, and it wasn't that noisy or dusty when we were here mid November to early December. The external work had finished but the internal work was still going on. This only affected the blocks on the left side of the path to the beach. The right side was pretty much finished.
Our room, 122, was a refurbished one, but to be honest, it wasn't really complete. I had frequent trips to reception to ask for things like a working fridge, wi-fi, hair dryer etc. Most of these were sorted out quickly, but the A/C was never quite right- either on full blast or off, and nothing in between.
But as seasoned Goa visitors, it didn't spoil our enjoyment of our sixth visit to the CSM.
The food was as good as ever, the staff were friendly and we always got a sunbed around the main pool. I believe that might be the next area to be re-furbished, as we saw measurements being taken.
The location for beach and nightlife still can't be beaten, with quiet or lively places all around, which is our main reason for choosing the CSM. We really enjoyed our stay, and would be looking forward to returning in November 2026. But as mentioned previously, rumour has it that the new owners behind all thus work may not want Tui's custom next season. It will be a shame if we cannot return to our favoutite Baga hotel.
A lovely, friendly place. The staff are amazing and the location is excellent. Dont get me wrong, it’s not perfect. That’s just it. Nothing in Goa is perfect. The hotel roof needs some work. The rooms are dated. The entertainment could be better. But having said all that it’s a great place. It has charm and its own ambience. It is also great value for money. The main pool is brilliant. Usually plenty of sun beds to go round. As well as pool towels. The food on offer is excellent and there is a brilliant bar service. The best nights here are the karaoke nights. It gets very busy so book a table. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and also to the main road with a whole load of bars and restaurants. Would I go back….YES!
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the dinning area is over run by cats / kittens . Which some may like but not for me . The hotel is well positioned a short walk away from beach and shopping area with plenty of restaurants. We had 3 tokens for food and water in rooms which were cleaned every day. There was some noise from construction work going on- some rooms being updated. We stayed for 1 wk and many guests stay for weeks and some go year after year
Well what an excellent stay again for 11 nights room was great staff fantastic can't do enough for you pool area great pity we can't go back in December as its been sold very gutted
I have been trying to contact reservations without luck . Is this hotel still open . We have been to this hotel a few times and always had brilliant response from reception
