Grand Hyatt Goa

Visited during the monsoon and honestly the resort looked absolutely stunning — lush, green, and full of life. The swimming pools are exceptional, and the indoor pool is a real highlight, especially when it's raining outside.

A special mention to Bineeta at the front desk — she was brilliant, handled everything smoothly and made the check-in process seamless. Chef Ranjan, who has recently taken charge, deserves a shoutout too. He was incredibly understanding of our needs around baby food and went out of his way to ensure everything was sorted. The overall team at Grand Hyatt Goa is warm and hardworking — you can feel the effort they put in.

Only note: the kids' play zone feels a little dated compared to the rest of the property, which is otherwise very well-maintained. Would be great to see that refreshed. Phones were never picked on time

Overall a wonderful monsoon getaway. Would definitely return.

We arrived at 3:30 PM and were initially assigned the wrong room category despite having paid for a different room type. Instead of resolving the issue, we were left waiting for hours and did not receive the correct rooms until around 7:30 PM.

What followed was even worse. The air conditioning in the rooms was not working properly, and despite multiple calls and repeated assurances from the staff, we had to continuously chase the hotel for updates and action. Every interaction seemed to result in more waiting, more confusion, and no real resolution.

We had booked three rooms together as a family, yet we were split across different rooms. Even late into the evening, we were still waiting for room changes and were repeatedly told there was little the staff could do. At no point did anyone take ownership of the situation or show any urgency in resolving problems that should never have occurred in the first place.

What is most shocking is not that mistakes were made, but the complete lack of accountability and customer service. The staff repeatedly made promises but failed to deliver, and there was no meaningful attempt to recover the situation despite the extent of the inconvenience caused.

If the hotel is unable to manage both wedding events and regular guests at the same time, it should not continue accepting external bookings. Paying guests should not receive substandard service simply because another event is taking place. We paid premium rates expecting a luxury experience, but instead spent our vacation waiting for rooms, chasing staff, and dealing with issues that should have been resolved long before we arrived.

This experience completely ruined our vacation. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.
