This 5-star beachside hotel at Wadduwa on Sri Lanka's west coast, south of Colombo, has a sublime setting in extensive palm-shaded grounds which lead directly onto a lovely beach. Providing a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday it is an excellent base for exploration of the island's interior, nature reserves and game parks.

This is our first trip to Sri Lanka, and we have very warm impressions of the hotel team. We have been to many countries, including the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Maldives, and Turkey, but we were particularly impressed by the hospitality of the hotel staff. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly Thinal Dilmith, who was able to resolve all our issues promptly and correctly. We would like to extend our gratitude and best wishes for your radiant smile. I can't help but mention the guys who served us in restaurants - they understood any wish, brought something or just a glance right away, remembered everything that we like for dinner, what we eat for breakfast. Thank you so much for your work) The breakfasts were great, the lunches and dinners were delicious. The food was different- and spicy Indian - my husband liked it very much, and for me, I like moderate spiciness, different side dishes and meat. There was enough of everything. I especially liked fruits - it's a lot of passion fruit, pineapple is very sweet, and various desserts are very tasty. It's all for me with a sweet tooth, it was wow)))Since it was off-season in Sri Lanka, we only swam in the pool. But it didn't upset us at all - it's huge, clean, and warm. There are a lot of free sun beds, all are soft. The sun was gentle, it didn't burn) Thank you for such a rest and for the care of the entire hotel team. I wish you all friendly guests, patience and prosperity.

The best place
We stayed all inclusive for 9 nights at the fantastic Blue Water, following a 4 day tour to Sigiriya and Kandy in early June. There really are not enough superlatives to describe our time here.
The hotel was very quiet with guests as it is the closed season, but this made no difference. The staff around the whole hotel really are second to none, nothing too much trouble, food in all areas totally delicious and so much to choose from, both Western and local choices, our room impeccably looked after, waiters, reception, gym staff, pool boys, spa ladies, gardeners, cleaners, all friendly, knowledgable........ all knew our requests before we knew them and they are all just constantly happy & smiling
The pool is the best I have seen in a hotel, spotlessly clean, loads of comfy sunbeds, umbrellas and drinks & towels brought over to your table
Our room was just beautiful, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite a super large room, with separate lounge area, dressing area, massive bathroom and views to die for from a large balcony overlooking the lush grounds and beach
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary whilst there and we received a complimentary candlelit dinner, which again was soooo special, lovely food, the best service in the best location
