The hotel is situated along the breath-taking western coastline of Sri Lanka, and one of the highlights of a stay here is appreciating the view of the amazing Sri Lankan sunset while enjoying a cool drink on the hotel terrace.

Our New Favorite Hotel in Sri Lanka – Simply Stunning!

I have been visiting Sri Lanka since the 1980s, and traveling here as a family since 2015. For years, Cinnamon Signature Bentota has been our absolute favorite hotel. However, after a successful stay at Jetwing Colombo Seven prompted us to try Jetwing Lighthouse Galle for four days, we officially have a new winner.
The Room: We stayed in the Moroccan-themed suite, which was incredibly spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It easily accommodated two extra beds for the children. The absolute highlight of the room was the breathtaking view of the sea and the waves crashing right below us.
The Property: Jetwing Lighthouse is simply stunning. There is a beautiful flow to the architecture, and everywhere you walk is spotlessly clean. The facilities are fantastic—these are quite easily the best swimming pools we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The gym is well-equipped, and the spa area is serene, deceptively large, and reasonably priced.
Dining: We made a point to eat at all the different restaurants on-site. While all were good, the Pan-Asian restaurant was definitely the standout for us.
The Staff: Every single staff member you walk past greets you with a warm smile. The service is genuine, highly efficient, and delivered with care. A massive shoutout goes to Jayan and Nadeeka for being so incredibly friendly and attentive. Every request we made was delivered promptly. There was an early pricing mistake on a room quote, but the team handled it beautifully and compensated us with a few freebies—a true testament to their excellent customer service.
The Verdict: To offer a completely balanced review, the only things this hotel lacks compared to our previous favorite are the stunning sandy beach you find at Bentota and a dedicated Kid’s Club. However, those points hardly mattered. We returned to Colombo feeling more relaxed and content than after any other stay we’ve had so far. Jetwing Lighthouse is officially our No. 1 spot in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

A Stay with Exceptional Hospitality and Ocean Views
Our stay in Suite 303 was absolutely wonderful. My parents and I had an amazing, relaxing holiday, made even more special by the outstanding hospitality of the staff. A special thank you to our butler, Ms. Umesha—she has a pretty smile and an even more beautiful personality. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and ensured we were well looked after throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Mr. Nishantha, who welcomed us and assisted with our luggage, was also v helpful making us feel at home from the very beginning. The complimentary food and beverages included with the suite were a lovely touch, but nothing could beat the picture-perfect view of the sea from our room. Waking up to that breathtaking view was truly unforgettable. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets, and the food was excellent. As someone with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the freshly baked hot chocolate croissants at breakfast—they are not to be missed! At dinner, the dessert selection was fantastic, especially the avocado mousse, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning!

Amazing design hotel, amazing staff
This hotel is amazing, not only the design, the location, the beautiful view on the ocean, the quality of service, but the excellent knowledge, care, attention, thoughtfulness nd kindness of staff is immense. Want to thank all staff with a special mention to Mr. Nikshantha whose explanations about the history 9f the hotel really made my stay unforgettable. Thank you so much, a wonderful experience!
A Short Stay, But An Unforgettable Experience
We had a wonderful one-night stay, though it felt too short to take full advantage of everything the hotel has to offer.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmth and genuine charm of traditional Sri Lankan hospitality. The entire team made us feel right at home.
A special mention must go to Umesha, who guided us throughout our stay. She was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. No question was too small — she answered everything with a smile and made sure we were comfortable. We truly believe she played a big role in making our experience memorable. For her outstanding service and care, we would happily give her 10/10.
The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the local dishes — they were tasty and gave us a real taste of Sri Lanka.
Overall, it was a relaxing and delightful experience. We left wishing we had booked for longer, and we would definitely love to come back to explore more of the hotel’s facilities.
