Top notch comfort, luxury, hospitality, devine food and seamless connectivity in one single resort
Conveniently located, Anantara two bedroom pool Villa residence was the perfect spot for a whole family unwind. Hospitality from the start to end was brilliant. We would like to thank all front office personnel including the manager Lashan, our villa host Krish and everyone else who never disappointed us - whenever we needed something they were proactive. There was no need to request a buggy when needed; their active observation was commendable. Dilan not only looked after our house keeping needs, he also made sure we were surprised with his towel animal making skills whenever he cleaned the villa while we were out at meals. Food was truly beyond expectations and we would like to thank the Food and Beverage manager Kalpani for walking an extra mile to keep us satisfied in every possible way each and every time we walked into Olu restaurant. Chef Wishwa and Chef Isuru had worked hard on a special lamprais meal for our lunch and it was simply out of this world. Special thanks goes to Chirantha, Imasha, Ishara, Methmini and all members of the Olu restaurant team for never disappointing us with their exceptional service. We would also like to thank Nuwani and Nadeeshani in the kids club for being thoughtful, caring and such heartwarming girls - there wasn't a single time our little one would agree to leave the kids club with us at any cost. All in all, our holiday in Anantara this year was made memorable by the amiable and the most helpful staff we have ever seen in a hotel and we never had a holiday experience with nothing to complain. So this experience was worth every single penny and we will definitely be going back to Anantara when we are back in Sri Lanka next summer too.

Our stay at Anantara Kalutara was truly the best hotel experience we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a beautiful traditional dance that made us feel so special.
A special thank you to Niliniya, who looked after us with such kindness and professionalism throughout our stay. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and genuinely passionate about what they do.
The room was stunning, the food was absolutely amazing, and every meal was worth every bite. Our son also loved the Aliya Kids Club—it's beautifully maintained, offers plenty of fun activities, and the staff there were fantastic.
To make our stay even more memorable, we were given a beautiful blessing upon departure. It was a touching way to end an unforgettable holiday.
If you're looking for a true 5-star experience in Sri Lanka, Anantara Kalutara is a must-visit. We can't wait to come back!

Our 3 day Stay at Anantara Kalutara Resort was nothing short of a Dream! This is a 5 Star beautiful Hotel, designed by Geoffrey Bawa and right at the moment you arrive, everything feels magical!
We were welcomed with lovely traditional Sri Lankan dancers and drink that made us feel truly happy, they also blessed us when we left..
Our Ocean view Room was Beautiful, spacious and so comfortable, with every amenity imaginable.. a special thank you to Eranga at housekeeping who was so pleasant during our stay and just amazing, he provided us with everything , every day of the stay..
The entire property is very uniquely designed, with luxury, gorgeous views all around that mixes tradition and modern architecture perfectly.. We were so impressed, we loved the Geoffrey Bawa Library and spent much time in there and couldn't get enough of the property!
The surrounding gardens, walkways, and paths are all beautifully maintained and where do I begin about the Stunning Pool? This is the Best pool we've swum in at great hotels, and the 2nd pool in the Ocean wing is very pretty as well. Likewise, the Gym is fully equipped with everything and we enjoyed our time there every morning!
A very special mention and huge thanks to Shamal, the Assistant Front Office Manager who is so welcoming and goes out of his way to please guests, he service is exceptional, Courteous and excellent in Guest handling, right down to the detail.. Also Sulakkana at front office is lovely .
The Staff at the Olu Restaurant is superb as well. We loved the food at the Restaurant , the breakfast buffet is the biggest spread ever and it has all you could wish for, really delicious food and a great job done by all the Chefs. Every meal was delicious, and there was a wonderful selection of both International and Sri Lankan dishes and the Egg hoppers are a must try!
We were thankful to the amazing staff at OLU Restaurant. Kalpani, the F & B Manager is outstanding, warm, friendly and her entire team, Ishara, Vinushi, Sasupun, Iran and Imasha went out of their way to make every day of our stay So Beautiful that my wife was in tears when we left .. Sasupun specially was truly a hard working, Exceptional asset to their team, always smiling and willing to keep all the guests as his first priority.
The Italian Restaurant Acquolina was Superb too and Bhanuka does a great job along with the great chefs there, we had the Italian pork diavolo pizza and Garlic Prawn Speghetti and it was Delicious!
Another mention is the Anantara Spa! We had a foot Reflexology massage that was really a heavenly experience. The best we have had in any 5 Star hotel yet! Niroshinie and Hansini are exceptional Massuers, and we enjoyed our treatment..
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the incredible staff here. Every single team member greeted us with warm, genuine smiles, kindness, and great professionalism. They went above and beyond to make us feel truly welcome and ensured that every moment of our stay was special. Their warmth and attention to detail truly made all of the difference.
Anantara Kalutara is a Gem of a Hotel, we have unforgettable memories here and we cannot wait to come back again. Thank you to every single member at Anantara Kalutara. You're a Credit to this Beautiful Resort and Well done! Deserving of 5 Stars!!!
Super spacious Villa and very friendly Staff.
Kids enjoyed the activity room playing TT, Carom & pool. Zip line was their favourite. Also they had chance to touch and feed the rabbits

We stayed at Anantara Kalutara on 4th July, and it was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived until the day we checked out.
The resort is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture, peaceful surroundings, and breathtaking views that create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Our room was spacious, elegant, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
What truly made our visit exceptional was the outstanding hospitality. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit.
The dining experience was equally impressive, with delicious food, a great variety of options, and excellent service. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall ambiance of the resort made it the perfect destination to unwind and celebrate a special occasion.
