One of my Sri Lankan highlights
My stay at the Galle Face Hotel in Columbo has been amazing. It is a beautiful historic hotel on the edge of the ocean, with oodles of old world charm. Rooms, dining areas and pool are lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful, as was Natheela, who was so attentive over breakfast Such a special place to stay

Beautiful historic hotel
It’s always been a dream to stay here and I wasn’t disappointed, I felt like royalty. Do yourself a favour and book a complimentary tour of the hotel. We had Sarjeevan as our guide and he was so knowledgeable and informative. He was fabulous! The salt water pool is amazing with views of the sea. Breakfast to die for.
Terrible stay, don’t book here
Location is absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful historic hotel, and very worth visiting for its charming atmosphere. However I would not recommend staying here. The food in the travelers bar is abysmal, and when we mentioned the fried prawns and tempura vegetables were delivered both soggy and very cold the staff could not have been less interested. Additionally, we booked a sea view room but were “upgraded” to a corner room with a partial view of the see and a primary view of the parking lot. If you book a room facing this parking lot at the front of the hotel, be advised that there is a very very VERY loud club restaurant directly opposite on the green. It is so loud the windows in our room would vibrate, and we could hear the individual lyrics to the words the band was singing. Even with earplugs, there will be no sleep. Which, sadly, is the primary point of a hotel. I highly recommend the hotel consider some resolution with this restaurant, as I struggle to imagine any guest being okay with the level of noise. Truly regret the time and money spent trying to have a nice stay at this hotel. Don’t make our mistake, run far away from booking here.

Dinner buffet
Dimasha and Sunil was amazing.They gave us super service.food was really delicious.atmosphere was amazing.thank you so much.I wish to come again

Lovely evening
The high tea buffet was exceptional staff were very friendly especially Dimasha. Excellent variety of the tea buffet and caters to adulrs and kids both. Great ambience and very british. 💖💖💖 Loved it n enjoyed it very much.
