Worst hotel in Colombo
The hotel is old and worn. No beach to speak of. Pool is terribly worn. Hotel was not very busy , yet the front desk gave us a room on 3rd floor under the stairs to 4th floor. Each person that walked down stairs sounded like stomping elephants. The room was very small and when we arrived there wasn’t a single towel. We have complained to our tour group because we requested 4-5 star hotels and this place was a 2 star hotel. 2 star because food was edible.
Amazing stay!!!
A wonderful stay in the hotel! Absolutely stunning location, hospitality and care. Everyone had been incredibly friendly, with a true Sri Lankan style! The team, Frank, Presha , Darsh and Uvan had been fantastic! We’ve had breakfast which was phenomenal! And having it by the Indian Ocean and with a sound of waves had been unforgettable! Want to go back!
Excellent Breakfast and Amazing Staff
We had an excellent stay and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and we were extremely satisfied.
The staff at the buffet restaurant and the housekeeping team provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Our room was always kept spotless whenever we returned, which made our stay even more comfortable.
I would especially like to appreciate Ms. Darshi for her outstanding assistance. I was struggling to complete my online check-in, and she kindly contacted Cathay Pacific Airlines on my behalf and helped me through the entire process. Her kindness, patience, and dedication were truly appreciated, and she went above and beyond to assist us.
We will highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends. The only small suggestion we have is regarding the bathrobes. They were quite small, and it would be great if larger sizes were available for guests.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a very pleasant and friendly experience at Galle Face Hotel. We found the services of Aneeq to be exceptionally welcoming and warm. He explained the cuisines of all the restaurants at the hotel and helped us to decide where we wanted to dine.
Night out Galle Face hotel
We had a pleasant night out at the galle face hotel and thank you Aneeq, who guided us around this amazing hotel. He went out of his way to show us right to the restaurant and my wife and I had a lovely time. We would recommend visiting the hotel next time we are in the country. A very big thank you to the lovely young man Mr Aneeq.
