Decent hotel for relaxing and exploring Sri Lanka
We chose this hotel for its beachside location ,and to use as a base for exploring within a 2 to 3 hour radius to the hotel.we couldnt fault the location.all of the rooms seem to have fantastic sea views.we found the food on offer to be acceptable and always found food a decent choice of food..we also enjoyed a few afternoon meals, which were from a set menu, rather than the usual buffet.Yes the hotel needs maintenance in places,but the hotel staff more than make up for this.throughout the hotel you can see genuine warmth in the way you are greeted by smiling faces.thank you to all...security guards ,restaurant ,pool bar ,and tropic bar,reception and front of hotel team. all very hard working people. It is very hard to single out any one member of staff.however a special thank you to Prasad (tropical bar) for introducing us to "Arrack"and looking after us with our drinks during our stay. Moraj for his magical towel displays! And a big thank you to the young man with smiling face who seemed to every where we looked, from pool bar to tropical bar and restaurant. Also Renate and the other ladies checking us in to the restaurant, especially during busy periods!

A Pleasant Stay, but Some Important Service Issues
The hotel’s location was excellent, with easy access to the beach, and we really enjoyed the pool. Although the facilities were somewhat dated and the floor in our room was quite slippery, overall we had a very relaxing stay. The breakfast was also good.
However, there were two things that I found particularly disappointing.
First, at check-in, the hotel staff did not provide us with any information about how to use the pool. They also failed to give us the wristbands that guests are supposed to wear to access the pool area. As a result, when we went to the pool, a security staff member immediately came over and questioned us about why we were there. I showed him my room key, and we were then given the wristbands, so the situation was resolved. Nevertheless, it was an unpleasant experience that could easily have been avoided if the reception staff had simply provided the necessary information and wristbands at check-in.
Second, despite the fact that the reservation was made in my name and I personally paid for the hotel stay, the post-stay thank-you email was addressed to my husband. I understand that his information was registered at reception when we checked in, but I do not understand why the hotel would choose to address the message to him rather than to the person who made and paid for the reservation. Perhaps there are cultural or operational reasons behind this, but I found it disappointing to have this experience at a hotel representing a major Sri Lankan hospitality brand such as Cinnamon Hotels.
We stayed during the holiday season and therefore paid considerably more than we would have during the regular season. Given the price we paid, I am not sure that the overall level of service fully lived up to the cost.
Overall, we enjoyed the location, pool, breakfast, and relaxing atmosphere, but the issues above were disappointing and affected our impression of the stay.
Memorable time
Had greart time with my 2 kids who enjoy with love and care from the team who ensure everything around. if anyone is planning for family tour best place the food ,room of course the team is excellent. Much appreciate for making our stay memorable
Wonderful Experience with Excellent Service
Had a wonderful stay! The staff were friendly and professional, the ambiance was relaxing, and the facilities were excellent. I also appreciated the hotel's sustainability efforts. Overall, a great experience, and I would happily return.
