A good hotel
We stayed for a week in sea view minisuite, and we had a really good time. I'll start at the beginning. The transfer from the airport takes about 2 hours and after a long flight it just add extra travel time so something to aware off.
The check in was quick and very efficient and the staff were very helpful. Upon entry to the room we were very pleased everything was very clean and the room was a good size, everything in working order no problems.
The bathroom was large with double sinks and a large shower.
It has 4 restaurants, the buffet which had and excellent choice and the service was great. it had an Italian restaurant that you have to book, we enjoyed this and had a good night. There was also and Asia/Chinese we again enjoyed. There is a steak one but we never made this.
It has 4 pools all an excellent size one was a children's pool, we stayed mainly around the adult one which had a pool bar, really enjoyed this.
The entertainment was low key but that suited us, we didn't go to the main stage so that was probably more lively.
All in all we had a good time and we would go again, it was quiet when we were there, the only problem depending on your view is that from Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch it is very hectic as the locals book in. It does get very busy in the restaurants and pools
It didn't bother us too much as its only for 1 day a week. We booked in the speciality restaurants on the weekend.

Bad Hotel in Sri Lanka
We went to this RIU Hotel on 26 & 27, We booked 3rooms for our family & from that 3 rooms they arrange only 2rooms for us at checking 12.00P.M we start from the lunch but one of our room is not ready in that time the reception of the hotel staff told they will arrange the balance room at 3.00p.m we didn’t argue anything in that time after in the night they put some paper in our stayed room to inform to leave at 12.00p.m why we should leave in that time they give us the room at 3p.m so return time also should be 3.00pm After they locked my room at 12.20p.m & my personal belongings all in the room they didn’t return me that things & they just arguing about that,at last I told I will call police now so we can resolve this matter,after that they told ok ok we will open ur room & they wait outside untill i finished thsi is very bad expirence not only that but also The guy who work in receptionist dont knwo how to repect & talk to custostomersThis is very bad expirience shame on u RIU. hotel

🌟 Excellent Stay with Great Service & Hospitality
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. I truly appreciated the excellent service and hospitality. Perfect Stay – Our Third Visit!
This was our third visit to RIU, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. There was a great variety of delicious food, with restaurants open 24 hours and unlimited cocktails and mocktails. Alcoholic drinks were also unlimited, except on Poya Day.
There are many complimentary facilities and activities, including the sauna and club. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing, and the kids’ pool is amazing—perfect for families with children.
We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely continue visiting RIU in the future. Highly recommended!
