This is a five star facility in every single respect. Everything about it is special. Even the view from the lobby is spectacular – looking out over the vast pool, its lights twinkling as the sun dims and crimson fills the sky.
Guests' rooms are superbly appointed. Luxurious fabrics and rich timber fittings give them a stamp of impeccable quality. Furnishings are rich and tasteful.

The Heritance Ahungalla (formally the Triton Hotel) was Sri Lanka's first 5-star beach hotel and in 2005 it was completely refurbished and extended. As a result this famous hotel has been restored to its former days of glory with tasteful furnishings, luxurious fabrics and rich timber fittings. Guest rooms now assume a new standard of elegance and comfort with lavish en suite bathrooms.

Eight days at the Hehitance The hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere
The Heritance is set in a fantastic position on the beach and is very relaxing, all the staff are very considerate and made our stay very enjoyable. The food is fantastic and the choices are amazing. We venture out a few times and took advantage of the hotel packed lunches. Our room was great and Rukmal and the room guys were very friendly. Rukmal made our stay special with the towel art on the bed and a brilliant anniversary design. We will be back at sometime.

Mustard Coffee Shop - excellent food and service
We had the best late lunch at the coffee shop restaurant in the lobby of the Heritance Ahungalla hotel. The service was truly excellent, especially our server Mahesh who went above and beyond to accommodate and help us have an amazing and relaxed meal. We were not guests of the hotel but it was on our way from another beach town back to Colombo and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The chef made some wonderful recommendations and we had such good, fresh well prepared seafood as well as some other Sri Lankan classics. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal when you’re traveling the coast.
Mustard Coffee Shop, amazing food and service
We went in for late lunch at the Mustard Coffee shop and our server was named Mahesh. He was so polite, attentive and helpful. We had an excellent meal and a delightful experience. We certainly recommend stopping in at the Heritance Mustard Coffee shop for meals.
