This pleasant hotel is located in Praslin. Located on the beaches of Anse Volbert, Hotel Club Cote D'or offers air-conditioned rooms with views of the Indian Ocean or the hotel gardens and a Terrace / Restaurant with a covered veranda overlooking the water turquoise of the ocean. Rooms at Hotel Club Cote D'or feature four-poster beds, cool tiled floors, a safe, minibar and private bathroom with shower / hairdryer. Cote D'or's restaurant features high ceilings and decorated with wood carvings on the walls. It serves Creole and international cuisine, while the adjoining bar offers cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. On the sandy beach you can enjoy beach volleyball / canoeing and on request various activities can be organized, including outings for deep sea fishing and excursions to nearby islands and diving.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We chose the hotel because of the location on a beautiful beach - the beach won ´ t disappoint you! The hotel consists of bungallows - they are some 50 meters from sea. The price does not correspond with the level of services . During our stay housekeeping forgot to clean our room twice - they made up for it after we complained in late afternoon. Breakfast is served and rather basic, waiting staff kind if bored and - absolutely no fresh fruit or juice, no fresh bread or baguette, 1 kind of cheese and ham from a can - definitely not 4 stars. If you want capuccino or espreso, you pay surcharge. Although we are in 21st century, WI-FI access is paid - per device. Forget the restaurant - the menu is pretty basic and overpriced - we had a pizza on 1st night : it was a supermarket frozen one. Also other meals were nothing to write home about - no fresh salads, no fresh fish etc. Some of the staff were very nice. There is not much around the hotel - the closest restaurants are 15-20 mintes walk. There is a small grocery shop nearby - not too much to choose from - yet drinks are well stocked :)
Unfortunately we have to agree with previous negative comments. The only good thing about this place is the absolutely stunning location on the most beautiful beach and I think they think this is enough. Be aware tho that there is huge sandfly problem on the beach. Also totally geared for Italian market... Now it was not so busy and with covid restrictions there was no entertainment but we were glad as otherwise being not Italian would have made it worse.
We paid quite a bit - 800 eur for 3 nights wiht breakfast and were very disappointed. Below is why.
We booked sea view and were not made aware that there are front and back rows of the bungalows - to charge extra and sell ours as Seaview is just cheeky-picture attached
Bed and mattress were awful - like sleeping in the floor or piece of wood so hard and painful we had 3 sleepless nights Also mini fridge was so noisy we had to unplug it
Breakfast was poor choice and quality and included the most disgusting filter coffee-espresso etc cost extra and were awful too. Omlette etc to order were bad as well.
Waiters were super demotivated and not friendly... So was the chef making Omlette
WiFi connection was bad
Old uncomfy plastic chairs on beach dirty from birds poo
Late check out we asked to have 3more hours for the room...13.00 instead of 10.00 and although room was not booked on the day we left they would have charged for it
1 small bottle of water included free of charge for 2 pax and 3 nights
Everything is dated and old so the price for quality is absolutely not justified. We definitely feel like we have been ripped off. Shame as this is a once in a lifetime trip.
On holidays with friends. This place is ok but I think that something more should be done to improve and modernize the entire structure. Breakfast normal. Great view from a seafront lodge. Very bad time with sandflies (bring with u body oil). Cool turtles on the back of the property. However, I suggest to rent a car to go around on the island. Excellent musical entertainment by Victor!!!!really congratulations.Very good in acoustics playing guitar!
Superb location - right on the beach. Every morning we woke up to the wawes and sunshine. Rooms/villas are put behind tall palmtrees providing shadow in the afternoon. Fantastic beach - however during the 2 seasons the wind in the winter brings some seaweed, which is removed every morning. Really spacy rooms, fantastic staff, where Francesco provided us with a rental car when everything was sold out. Fine breakfast end food. The Italian management and staff made a fantastic New Years Eve right on the terrasse and beach with Sara as head of dancing.
Can only recommend - located a bit from the village (20 min's walking) made our stay quit and just paradise
Great place to stay in Praslin. You have the best beach…you can walk from one corner to another…food was excellent..be aware you will gain some weight :) best breakfast we had in Seychelles. Room was good size, but outdated…clean . All in all nice place
