- Mango House Seychelles

A House with Heritage, Storied & Distinctive; Mango House is nestled deep in the South of Mahé. Directly standing on the oceanfront with direct access to Anse Aux Poules Bleues “Aquarium of wonders”. Mango House is a 30-40 minutes distance by car to and from the Seychelles International Airport and approximately 60 minutes from Victoria. A contemporary and intimate retreat, providing the backdrop to multilayered experiences, creative ingenuity, and expansive views enveloped in the rugged nature of the Seychelles.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Our stay at Mango House Seychelles, LXR Hotels & Resorts was simply outstanding. The property itself is stunning, but what truly makes this hotel unforgettable are the people. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, appreciated and cared for. There was not a single moment when we did not feel valued as guests.
A very special mention must go to Executive Chef Mohamed Mortada. As a vegan who travels extensively and has stayed at many excellent hotels around the world, I can honestly say that I have rarely – if ever – met a chef with such an impressive understanding of different cuisines, ingredients and dietary requirements.
Mohamed left me speechless. He understands something that many kitchens still struggle with: outstanding vegan cuisine is not about simply removing meat, dairy or other animal products from an existing dish. It is about creating something wonderful in its own right.
What impressed us particularly was how this creativity carried through the different restaurants at Mango House. From the Italian flavours at Muse, to the Seychellois and Creole experience at Moutya, the Japanese-inspired cuisine at Kokoye Lounge, and the relaxed poolside setting of Soley, each venue has its own personality – and yet the quality remained consistently excellent.
For me as a vegan, this made the experience even more remarkable. Instead of feeling limited by what I could eat, I actually looked forward to discovering what Mohamed and his team would create next. The variety of vegan dishes was extraordinary. Everything was beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with genuine passion and love.
Mohamed turned every meal – whether at Muse, Moutya, Kokoye Lounge or Soley – into an experience. His knowledge, creativity and genuine enthusiasm for making every guest happy were among the absolute highlights of our stay.
The service throughout Mango House was equally impressive. A huge thank you to Smax and Marie-Ella, who looked after us wonderfully and always made us feel special.
And then there is Joshua – incredible! Watching him manage an entire restaurant almost single-handedly, while remaining friendly, attentive and professional, was seriously impressive. I still do not know how he does it!
Finally, an enormous and very personal thank you to Rena. Her help, kindness and attention made this holiday possible in the way we experienced it. She contributed enormously to making our stay one of the most beautiful and memorable travel experiences we have ever had. Thank you, Rena. ❤️
Mango House manages to combine beautiful surroundings, exceptional food and outstanding service with something much harder to create: genuine warmth.
We arrived as guests, but we left feeling that we had been looked after by people who truly cared.
Thank you to the entire Mango House team – and especially Mohamed, Smax, Marie-Ella, Joshua and Rena.
We very much hope this was not goodbye, but simply see you again very soon!

Well done Anna and Stephanette. Best service
We stayed for 7 nights on a half-board plan.
The resort is located in a beautiful area, away from town and noise (perfect for winding down and relaxing).
Three restaurants are available for dinner : Creole (their curry is a must try), Japanese (amazing wagyu and chicken noodles) and Italian.
Breakfast is served every morning with buffet style completed by an “à la carte” option (Creole Style Kedgeree and French Toasts are our absolute favorites), the staff there is so nice and welcoming (special thanks to Stephanette and Anna for all the great drinks and recommendations as well as the hospitality showed to us every morning).
Our room was clean and housekeeping made sure to keep it that way, passing twice a day to make the bed, open/close the windows, change towels and restock water.
The beds are big and comfortable. The bed curtains add so much to the atmosphere of the room, laying in bed surrounded by them, as if in a dream world, feels magical.
The resort has three different pools and two different private beaches. There are also complimentary kayaks and snorkeling gear available for use.
Complimentary daily activities are organized by the resort. We had a good time at the rum tasting and creole cooking class.
We treated ourselves to a private romantic dinner (the food offered is the same as in the restaurants sadly), couple massage and sushi making class. The sushi making class was definitely our favorite experience, having the hotel’s chef cook (off-menu) dishes for us, catering to our specific taste was sublime. Not to mention that stepping behind the counter to make the sushi ourselves turned out to be a ton of fun.
Overall our experience was amazing, we will definitely come back!
Food are good as always Staff are nice as usual, especially, Micheal, he serves us very very well, always with his smile. Always grateful to be here
