Wonderful Experience at AVANI+ Seychelles
We had a wonderful stay at AVANI+ Seychelles, and we would like to give special recognition to Dinesh, Cannon, Sujith, and chef Laurie-Anne and Guest Relations for their exceptional service.
They were incredibly friendly, professional, attentive, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more special and memorable.
A big thank you to the entire AVANI+ Seychelles team for making our experience so enjoyable. We truly appreciate your outstanding service and warm hospitality!
The hospitality from the hotel has always amazed me, we are repeaters we first visit the hotel in May for a birthday celebration now I came for my graduation celebration. The whole team was amazing. Chapeau to the FO, And F&B team as well as the HK team.
The Avani+ was our first choice of hotel after viewing 3 other hotels for our trip. We don't regret this choice as our stay was amazing.
I was at seyumai restaurant ans we had excellent service with cannon Amazing person always smiling 😃
We came to the Seychelles for the first time as a family — my wife, our two teenage sons and me. We stayed for two weeks at Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles on Mahé, taking two separate rooms: one for us and one for the boys. I think we got the choice of hotel exactly right. Avani+ Barbarons is a beautiful, modern, stylish and very peaceful hotel. It is low-rise, mostly single-storey, so you never get the feeling of being inside some huge resort complex with endless buildings, lifts and crowds of people. The grounds are green and cosy. The architecture is modern, the design is quite minimalist, without any unnecessary attempt to impress you with gold, marble or other forms of “look how expensive we are”. Everything is neat, comfortable and well thought out. The rooms are modern, a good size, and have everything you actually need. For me personally, however, one of the biggest advantages of this hotel is the peace and quiet. It is exactly the kind of place for a calm, relaxed holiday. You can spend the day by the sea or the pool, or go off exploring the island, and in the evening come back somewhere quiet without unnecessary noise and fuss.
I also want to say a few words about Pti-Bazar, because during our two weeks we spent quite a lot of time there. The first thing that really impressed us was the food. There is a very good choice, and I do not mean a hundred versions of roughly the same thing. There is genuine variety: meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, salads, side dishes, Asian food, European food, local dishes and desserts. You can always find something depending on what you feel like eating that day. The food is well balanced, the ingredients are good and everything is prepared properly. Even after two weeks, the food had not become boring, which is actually a very good result for a resort restaurant where you eat regularly.
Big respect to the chef and the whole kitchen team at Pti-Bazar. They are doing a really good job. But a restaurant is not only about food. Over two weeks we got to know many of the people working at Pti-Bazar — waiters, managers and members of the restaurant team — and I want to mention them separately:
Shaker, Sajan, Heshan, Antony, Denash, Abel, Andrey, Stephani, Nandy, Manuella and Bernadette.
Guys, thank you very much! A very good team. Real, positive, down-to-earth people. No forced formality and no artificial hotel smiles.
Over two weeks we got to know each other, joked around, talked, greeted each other every day and occasionally gave each other a hard time. Everything felt easy and natural.
That, in my opinion, is what good service should be: people do their jobs professionally, while still remaining normal, genuine human beings.
A special hello to Abel from Kenya! And to the girls — Stephani, Manuella and Bernadette — a big thank you and lots of love from our whole family. Always smiling, attentive and positive. Well done.
And, of course, a personal mention for Shaker. No long speeches here. Shaker — waiter of the year. No question about it. Shaker, my friend, big respect!
I hope the management of Avani reads this review and pays particular attention to the whole Pti-Bazar team. Good employees should be valued.
The Seychelles themselves turned out to be much more interesting than we had imagined before arriving. Our expectations were fairly standard: beautiful ocean, beaches, palm trees and granite rocks. All of that is definitely here. But during our two weeks we managed to see Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, and that became one of the biggest discoveries of the trip. Mahé, Praslin and La Digue are three completely different worlds. Although the islands are close to one another and belong to the same country, even the nature is completely different.
For organising our trips, a separate thank you to 7°South, to Valeria, and especially to our guide Jean.
Jean is an excellent guide. He knows a huge amount about Mahé, its nature, history, plants and local life, and he really knows how to make it interesting. He does not simply drive tourists from point A to point B. He actually shows you the island and explains what you are looking at. Jean, big respect!
Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles turned out to be a very good choice for a two-week family holiday: modern, beautiful, quiet, comfortable, with very good food and an excellent team.
