Our 8-day-stay was amazing and we can recommend the hotel without hesitation. We surely will come back sometime in the future. Getting there we were very impressed. The hotel grounds are stunning, beautifully maintained, and feel incredibly spacious thanks to the neighboring sister resort. The beach is breathtaking. Our room had an incredible ocean view and was tended to twice a day. The entire hotel was very clean. The room had full-size amenities in the bathroom (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion).
We really liked the food. Being vegetarian there weren‘t many options at the Buddha Bar-Restaurant and the Mare Mare Restaurant to go there more often, but we were very happy with the main buffet restaurant. Everything throughout our stay was very well organized. When we had a request or needed help, the team responded quickly and efficiently. Organizing excursions was easy because the hotel took care of almost everything for us. The hotel offers its own taxi car service, and when we booked a catamaran excursion with JPH Charters that required a separate taxi transfer, JPH Charters coordinated everything directly with the hotel. We didn't have to arrange anything ourselves. Every driver we met was punctual, reliable, and friendly. A very special thank you to our driver, Mr. Suresh, who took us on a half-day tour through the south of Mauritius. He was so reliable, warm and kind and showed us all the beautiful spots we didn't even know to ask for. Two other highlights of our stay: First the "Make Your Own Perfume" workshop with Akhtar. It was an amazing experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in fragrances. We were very happy that the hotel offers this. The second was the birthday surprise organized by Anuradha. She surprised us during dinner with a beautiful chocolate birthday cake personalized with our names and arranged a late check-out for us. There was so much more, but the review is already too long.
