The Sugar Beach Hotel is set in palatial grounds in Wolmar, Mauritius. Enclosed in its own grove of palm trees, the Sugar Beach Hotel feels wonderfully removed from the rest of the word, but the thriving port of St Louis is close by. It’s been absolutely amazing
We’ve had such an Absolutely wonderful stay at Sugar Beach Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm friendly and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere is so welcoming and our overall experience exceeded our expectations The room was clean comfortable and beautifully maintained with everything we needed for a relaxing stay
We want a shout out to Anuradha Servais for going above and beyond to help us in everything we needed I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a relaxing stay
Best family friendly hotel in Mauritius
Sugar beach was absolutely perfect for our family breakaway From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, staff are really helpful and service was excellent. Chef Mohammed was unbelievable, always made sure we ate very well and the kids ages 1 and 3 years. Our room was amazing, just a few steps from the beach, while the kids nap we could always keep an eye from the lounges on the beach which was perfect ! Christine at breakfast was brilliant and our coffees were at the table before we were and of course Fazel on the beach always made sure we had an ice cold drink - we will definitely be returning and next time for longer than a week

Our stay at Sugar Beach was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of what made it so special was the incredible hospitality we received from Chef Mohammed and Melissa.
Chef Mohammed went absolutely above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure that our kosher food was prepared, handled and stored with the utmost care and attention. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly understanding, patient and accommodating, and nothing ever felt like too much of an effort for him. He took the time to understand our requirements and consistently made sure everything was taken care of, giving us complete peace of mind throughout our stay.
Melissa, our waitress, was equally exceptional. She was always at our beck and call, incredibly friendly, warm and attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Her genuine hospitality and wonderful personality made every interaction such a pleasure. She consistently made us feel welcomed and valued, and her service was truly outstanding.
What made both Chef Mohammed and Melissa so special was that their hospitality felt genuine. They didn't simply do their jobs — they genuinely cared about making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and were always willing to go the extra mile.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the setting is incredible, and the entire experience was wonderful — but Chef Mohammed and Melissa are undoubtedly two of the biggest reasons I would happily return to Sugar Beach and Mauritius.
A massive thank you to both of them for making us feel so welcomed, cared for and at home. They are an absolute credit to Sugar Beach, and their kindness and hospitality will not be forgotten. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our stay was made very special by Chef Mohammed who went out Of his way for us every time and even made me a small 60th birthday cake. He always has a smile on his face and nothing is ever too much for him. He is a real asset to the company. A huge shout out to Melisa Chooramun who did everything possible to ensure we had everything we needed. She went beyond the call of duty and didn’t Stop asking if everything was Okay and we needed anything. She is also a huge asset to the resort and these Two people are what would bring me back to the resort

Chef Mohammed was incredible and served the best kosher food we have ever had at any resort. The chef knew kosher very well and made sure all meals were as we requested. We really appreciated this! Melissa chooramun provided the most incredible service to us every single day. She remembered what we loved, helped so much, was kind at all times and went the extra mile. Mohammed and Melisa were the reason we came back as we were here in December 2025, and are the reason we will keep coming back. The attention to detail, kindness, delicious kosher food and excellent service stand out for us. Thank you very much
