The Local Area
This elegant resort hotel has a spectacular location overlooking Wolmar Beach near Flic-en-Flac on the western side of the island. The white sand stands out in sharp contrast to the sparkling clear blue waters of the lagoon and the deeper blue of Le Morne Mountain in the background. Built in typical cool airy Mauritian style, the resort stands in beautifully landscaped gardens with thatch roofed open sided restaurant and bar overlooking the large pool and the beach beyond.

Amazing hotel and service
The hotel is amazing. The services are amazing. Very clean rooms. Big bathrooms. In the evenings there is nice live music and a great dj Jean Paul and a nice bar service by Nathanael. In the morning Ivans does fun and nice aqua gym excercises. And than you can relax at the pool. Many water activities at the boat house, like ski nautique and snorkeling are included in the price. Had a very nice experience at the Sand Suites, Thank you!
Lovely Hotel
A lovely hotel with friendly staff who go out of their way to help, Saanvi looked after us every morning at breakfast and Nathanael and Abhishek in the Dolphin Bar ready for our orders and moving tables and chairs for our big group. A little out of the way from Flic en Flac centre but a nice walk down the beach through the day or a taxi at night to get there. Food was lovely and changed everyday and would recommend the Peppercorn restaurant highly.

Perfect little getaway.
We had a lovely little getaway at Sands! The service was exceptional from the moment we stepped out of the car. We received such a warm welcome from the Resident Manager and Front Office Manager, and the check-in process was probably the most seamless we’ve experienced here on the island.
Sands is a relatively small hotel compared to some of the other five-stars we’ve stayed at, but we actually think that’s what makes it special. The coziness, tranquillity and intimate atmosphere are something else, and the personalised service really stands out.
A wonderful stay and definitely a place we’d be happy to return to!

Wonderful stay at Sands Suites Resort & Spa
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sands Suites Resort & Spa in Mauritius.
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained, with a fantastic location by the ocean and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to forget about everything else and simply enjoy the holiday.
What impressed us most was the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, attentive and professional, but at the same time very natural and sincere. You never feel that the hospitality is just part of their job – you really feel that they care about their guests.
The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the whole resort has a very pleasant, intimate atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, the tropical surroundings and those quiet moments by the ocean that make Mauritius such a special place.
Sands Suites became more than just a hotel for us – it became a wonderful part of our Mauritius experience.
A huge thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so memorable. We left with beautiful memories and would happily return.
