Set in a lush oasis of palm trees, La Pirogue looks like a Mauritian fishing village. The distinctive cone-shaped, thatched roofs are clustered around the seashore at the edge of lush vegetation. This isn't a fishing village of course - it's an incredible 4 star hotel - and there's plenty of wonderfully fresh fish on offer in the superb restaurants.

You'll never be short of things to do at La Pirogue. The vast swimming pool is an absolute delight. Impeccably designed and fringed by palms, it is one of the hotel's biggest attractions.
The restaurants are high up that list too. From the beach bar to the main restaurant, the chefs and bartenders at La Pirogue work hard to give you a mouth-watering selection of food and drink. You'll enjoy lots of fresh ingredients and a great range of flavours. (And for even more choice, three additional restaurants are available to guests at the Sugar Beach Hotel.)
La Pirogue is well equipped for sports and fitness fans. Naturally, water sports are popular - and there are lots of opportunities for you to enjoy the wonderfully clean, warm water, whether you're a novice or a pro-scuba diver.
You can enjoy games from mini golf to volleyball - and there's a full fitness centre on site. We also recommend the spa - an essential ingredient of a truly relaxing Mauritius holiday.
One final but very important factor is your room. All Standard Garden View rooms (from August 2017 Garden Bungalows) are at ground level, with terraces leading straight out into the beautiful palm groves. There is full air conditioning and additional amenities include satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, safe, mini bar and drinks making facilities. Room upgrades such as Beach Pavilions are also available at a supplement.
You'll never tire of the sight of that perfect white sandy beach, or the deep blue sea; La Pirogue really does enjoy a perfect secluded spot on the West coast of Mauritius.

Relaxed and entertained
Just what I needed after a busy few weeks touring. Everything is available that you could possibly want, or if you want to relax it is a big enough property to find quiet and relaxing spaces. Great beach facilities, water stations, plenty of beach recliners for everyone to enjoy.
La Pirogue - Summer Holiday
An absolutely amazing stay at La Pirogue where we celebrated our own 50th birthdays in the same year as the resort celebrated its 50th. A place of calm, tranquility and paradise in an ever busy world. Made very special by the location, architecture and attention to detail. Without exception, every member of staff we came across delivered exceptional service whilst also taking time to talk to us and remember what we liked. Everyone involved at the hotel warrants recognition, but some stood out more than others, including Lobin, Sookoo, Kamala and Subash in the buffet restaurant, Mimi in the Medina, Jake and Jordan at La Morne Beach Bar and Kevin in the Coconut cafe. The boat house staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is not a lot more we can say about our time at La Pirogue, a very special place on a special island that will forever remain in our hearts. Thank you.

Stay at La Pirogue Hotel
Great location with a peaceful atmosphere. The room was comfortable and offered excellent value for money. We received a warm welcome from Mr Amrish, who made us feel right at home. The service was excellent, and all the staff were very helpful, attentive, and friendly. With Mr Amrish around, everything runs smoothly. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place.

Amazing value and service
Lovely meal at Le Morne stunning ocean crisp starter and catch of the day all part of the all inclusive! Fabulous service by Daavinen,Hans,Suman, Vanshika and Singh!
