Paradise right here!!!
Wow! What an amazing hotel and holiday. Welcome to paradise!!
Check in was seamless, we arrived early and were given access to our room within an hour. All facilities were available for us straight away. All the reception staff were welcoming and helpful from the beginning and we never were kept waiting when we had queries.
The room was very spacious and really big bathroom. Plenty of storage space. An iron and ironing board were provided (wasn’t doing any of that!!) Kept spotlessly clean each day. We paid extra for a sea view, well worth the extra, this does overlook the pool area too, but it is not noisy after 6/7pm.
The food was plentiful and delicious. The restaurant staff were all attentive, but a special mention to Christian who was such a kind and gentle man. Knew our drinks and table preferences from our 2nd day. The speciality restaurants were all very good, try them all for different dining experiences. They are really easy to book on the RIU app, maybe not the exact days you might want…. But what else are you doing other than relaxing?!
Le Morne itself is 90 mins from the airport. A very safe place. Can walk up the beach to the left and go up the mountain, an ok walk for moderate fitness. To the right is the beach and can walk along it for a few miles. Advise would be beach shoes, it’s a tough walk in flip flops!!
You can be as active or as chilled as you want here. We did aqua gym to work off the food and drink!!
We did 2 trips, Southern Tour which was great to see the culture of Mauritius and The 5 Islands tour is a fabulous day out and plenty of music & rum punch!!! Just to note this starts and ends back near the airport so 90 mins each way.
RIU Hotels you excelled again. Mauritius we will be back.

Another wonderful stay at Le Morne. Great people!
We have just returned from our third holiday at the Riu Palace at Le Morne, and once again, we had a wonderful time. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we have already booked to return next year!
As always, the staff were amazing, and we would like to say a very special thank you to everyone. They were all genuinely lovely and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable.
There are, however, a few people we would particularly like to mention. Kentish, the restaurant manager, was a truly excellent host. He was always smiling, welcoming and attentive to guests, and really stood out as a proactive and engaging member of the management team.
We would also like to thank Smeta, Iris and Vikash on reception, who consistently went out of their way to help us and make our stay more enjoyable. Smita especially was so incredibly helpful through our stay. Alexis in the coffee bar deserves a special mention for his proactive and friendly service, as do Vagshigh , Joshel and Mohtabh in the bars, John, Mana and Ujjwal in the restaurants, and Suraj and Raju, who were wonderfully helpful with our luggage —- of which we had rather a lot of kitesurfing kit - as well as arranging taxis for us when we had a medical issue to handle.
There were many other members of the team who deserve a mention too, but there are simply too many to name individually.
All in all, the Riu Palace Le Morne has a fantastic team of people who work incredibly hard to make their guests’ stay special. We had another excellent holiday and are already looking forward to coming back next year!

Memorable Stay at Riu Palace Mauritius
This beach resort has a huge treasure of entertaining activities - morning sunrise watch on the high mound to star gazing in the calm , deep and dark sky , unpolluted by urban over illumination. The well groomed staff recieves and serves you with smile, from reception, to the cafeteria, to drink n snax bars , to swimming pool , to restuarants distributed across the resort. Entire beach is managed to make it comfort friendly. It is highly recommended to enjoy the full board dining option. The chief chef was kind enough to prepare special veg dishes to the delight for our pallets. Four days are not enough here.

Amazing island, people, holiday and memories
The location is stunning. There is Mount Le Morne behind the hotel. The hotels grounds are beautifully kept.As it is on the south of the island you will need taxis to visit attractions. These worked out around £40 for a morning and £70 pounds for a full day. the roads are winding so it you get car sick take some tablets. The drivers are very good at taking you to great photo locations and attractions. We upgraded to Elite club which has its own pool and bar, at which the staff were brilliant. Sit with your drink looking into the deep blue ocean. The rooms are very nice and kept clean. With the elite club you get branded spirits in optics in the room along with branded drinks at the bars. The entertainment was at the sister family hotel next door which we didn't go to. Noise levels on a night time were quiet and people respected this, and there was no noise from the entertainment. Sometimes in the speciality restaurants there were people watching stuff on their phones on full volume while others were having a meal which is pretty rude and ruined the atmosphere. I just asked them to stop but I feel the staff should be doing this. If they can enforce dress codes they could do this. By the way the staff were fantastic and that was an observation not criticism. I have to say Vashish at the main lobby bar was fantastic, we didn't need to ask for a drink as soon as the glass was nearly empty he was there. I cant emphasise enough how fantastic all the staff are. Polite and professional.

Wedding Annniversary in a Wonderful RIU Palace
Big Thanks to all the staffs of Riu Palce for their wonderful welcome during our stay to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary in the Elite Club Mainly to those special people: The Management Team directed by Mr Léon and Mr Vivek Great attention from Smita, Iris, Owen, Mariam , Lachmi, Kevin from Reception Suraj the Bellboy The Bartenders : Pierre, Visham, Nitish, Vashish, Mohitabh with their special services The waiters Vania, John, Mercy, Lola, Vistoria, Alvino, Vanida, Shantanu Kertish for caring about us in the resrtaurant Great varieties of food from Chef Gungah and his colleagues Nadia our maid room Christopher and Yannich with their entertainment team.
