All members of staff consistently greet us with a warm smile and maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude. The room is consistently clean, well maintained, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. The thoughtful presentation, including the welcoming arrangement of fresh fruit and sweets, creates a warm and pleasant arrival experience. The check-out process is always efficient and seamless. The staff handle the billing process professionally, making it a smooth and hassle-free experience while maintaining a warm, courteous, and welcoming attitude throughout. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, with a well-balanced and varied selection. Meals are served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing an enjoyable dining experience on every occasion. The beach is consistently clean and well maintained, with secure access, convenient kiosks, and comfortable seating areas. Towels are readily available after swimming, enhancing the overall guest experience.

The swimming pool is also well maintained, clean, and maintained at an ideal temperature, creating a comfortable environment for extended relaxation. The concierge team is consistently helpful, courteous, and welcoming, always assisting guests with a friendly and professional attitude. The breakfast at the hotel is of an excellent standard, and I have observed minimal waste, as orders are placed for selected items. The à la carte service is particularly well executed and adds to the overall dining experience. Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa offers a unique hospitality experience, distinguished by its calm and relaxing atmosphere. The privacy afforded by each villa significantly enhances the sense of comfort and exclusivity, making it particularly well suited for families seeking a peaceful and private retreat.

The villas and beachfront setting are the hotel’s biggest strengths, and many of the staff are friendly and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the overall experience falls well short of five-star standards, with inconsistent service, poor housekeeping, average breakfasts, numerous extra charges, and a lack of attention to detail throughout our stay.

The most disappointing moment came on our final evening. We had booked the teppanyaki restaurant, where the F&B manager warmly told us the chef had created a “special menu” just for us as a farewell. We thought it was a thoughtful gesture. Instead, we sat watching everyone else have their meals cooked fresh on the teppanyaki while our food eventually arrived pre-made from the kitchen. It later became clear the hotel had overbooked the seating and, rather than explain the situation honestly, chose to present it as a special experience. They attempted to make amends afterwards, but the damage was done. Our final memory of the holiday was of being misled to cover up the hotel’s own mistake. It was unprofessional, dishonest and showed little regard for the guest experience.

That episode perfectly reflected the wider stay: good intentions from some staff, but inconsistent execution and poor management. The duty manager even asked us to leave a review at check-out without first asking for any feedback. The setting is lovely, but if you’re looking for genuine five-star service, Maradiva is unlikely to meet your expectations.
