Sofitel Mauritius L Imperial Resort and Spa

We had an exceptional stay at Sofitel L’Impérial for my birthday celebration, and i would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making it such a memorable experience.

A very special thanks to Pravesh for the warm welcome upon arrival. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel immediately comfortable and well taken care of from the very first moment. Jaishika also took the time to clearly explain everything to us with great professionalism, making check-in smooth and pleasant.

We were initially booked in a Luxury Room, but to our great surprise and appreciation, we were kindly upgraded to a Magnifique Room upon arrival. This thoughtful gesture made our special occasion even more meaningful, and we are truly grateful for it.

The room itself was beautiful, very clean, and elegantly designed. The ocean view from the balcony was stunning, and without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was watching the sunset from our room’s balcony. Truly unforgettable.😍

Throughout our stay, all staff members we encountered were consistently polite, well-mannered, and always smiling. They were attentive and caring, always greeting us warmly and ensuring we were comfortable.

The restaurant experience was outstanding. The food and service were both exceptional, truly deserving a 10/10 rating.

We also had a remarkable dining experience at the Teppanyaki restaurant with Chef Jogee, who made the evening very special. He was friendly, engaging, and entertaining, sharing jokes and interacting warmly with us, which created a unique and enjoyable atmosphere.

Our waiter, Levit, also provided excellent service during dinner. He was very polite, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, our stay was nothing short of excellent, combining outstanding service, warm hospitality, and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend Sofitel L’Impérial and will definitely return in the future.

We chose the Sofitel L'Impérial for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived to the very last moment we reluctantly left, this hotel delivered five-star luxury in every sense, not just through its stunning beachfront setting and impeccable facilities, but through its people.

Parvesh & Sharma — where do we even begin? These two remarkable members of staff went so far above and beyond that words genuinely feel inadequate. They arranged a private beachfront breakfast just for us, organised private taxis for our day trips to Port Louis and the southwest, and even had introductory cocktails and sparkling wine delivered to our room to welcome us and celebrate our honeymoon. When it came to our final day, they graciously arranged a late checkout so we could savour every last moment, a gesture that meant the world to us. They treated us not like guests, but like family. If you stay here, you are in the very best of hands.

Veen, the Beachfront Manager, made our private breakfast an experience we will talk about for years. His warmth and attentiveness throughout the stay was exceptional, but what truly stood out was his passion for his island. He shared wonderful recommendations for a southwest island tour and pointed us toward hidden gems that most tourists never find. A true ambassador for Mauritius.

Christian at the bar was an absolute joy. Whether we were winding down after a day in the sun or celebrating in the evening, he crafted brilliant cocktails with obvious pride and was always happy to tailor something to our taste. His enthusiasm and friendliness made the bar our favourite spot on the property.

Ingrid in the spa gave me my very first massage, and I can say with complete sincerity that she has set an impossibly high bar for every spa experience that follows. She took the time to walk me through every treatment option, explain what each was designed for, and make a thoughtful recommendation suited to me as a first-timer. Her care, calm, and genuine skill turned what could have been an unfamiliar experience into something truly transformative. I left feeling like a completely different person.

The Sofitel L'Impérial Hotel is beautiful. The beach, the pools, the grounds are all stunning, but it is the people who make it exceptional. If you are considering this hotel for a honeymoon, a milestone trip or simply a once-in-a-lifetime escape, book it without hesitation.

In a couple of weeks time we are heading back to L’imperial Sofitel for our third visit and to say we are looking forward to it is an understatement. We are lucky enough to have travelled extensively and able to go pretty much wherever we choose but to return to the same hotel resort 3 years running is a testament to this beautiful place. To state the obvious, the resort is perfect. The rooms, food, bar, beach, location, atmosphere are all world class, stunning and heartwarming but the main reason and most important to us for our return again and again are the most wonderful team of staff. Each and every member of the whole team are a credit to Sofitel/Acor, and it is a pleasure to know them. Too many to name but from reception to gardener these guys are more than staff to us. We are made to feel like friends and family not just a paying guest and we consider them with the same respect. This resort is becoming a home from home for us. We hope they know that it is them that give us the memories we treasure above all else. If you are looking for a piece of paradise in the Indian Ocean then look no further because you will leave feeling like you cannot wait to return. See you all in a couple of weeks xx
