The main thatched-roof restaurant opens onto the pool terrace, creating a relaxed setting for meals throughout the day.
The Casuarina Spa, tucked away in the gardens, offers a calm retreat with treatment rooms, a hammam and a small relaxation pool. A range of massages and beauty treatments is available. For more active guests, the resort offers kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips and cycling, while the nearby village is also within easy reach.
Each room is designed for comfort, featuring a private balcony or terrace with views of the gardens, or ocean views for a supplement. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Guests looking for extra space can opt for one of the thatched cottages, which offer a more private setting and the option for self-catering. Please note that not all cottages include a kitchenette and hall — these should be requested at the time of booking if required.

Our first family resort holiday – it exceeded every expectation!
Our first family resort holiday – it exceeded every expectation!
This was our first family holiday and our first stay at a resort. I won't lie, I was apprehensive. Food in a mass buffet style? Would it be nice? Would it be overcrowded, with people fighting for sunbeds? Would the entertainment be cringey? So many fears – mainly based on online horror stories and TV shows. How wrong was I!
From the moment we arrived, we were looked after. We arrived around four hours before our room was ready and, although our all-inclusive package wasn't due to start until 2pm, the staff immediately made sure we could get food and drinks at a very reasonable price. They then worked hard to have our room ready as soon as possible, which was hugely appreciated after a long journey.
We had adjoining rooms, which were spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a couple of minor issues when we first arrived, but within an hour of mentioning them to reception they had all been resolved. The rooms were serviced regularly, and we'd especially like to thank Humza for doing such an exceptional job keeping everything beautifully clean throughout our stay.
The setting of the hotel is stunning. We had a garden view room and all we could hear were birds chirping. We had worried about loud music disturbing us late into the evening, but that simply wasn't the case. The music was turned down at 11pm, meaning you could enjoy a peaceful night's sleep while still having the option to socialise around the pool or bar if you wished. We spent several evenings playing cards with other holidaymakers, which created some wonderful memories.
The grounds are immaculate and constantly being cared for by the hardworking staff. The beautiful plants, trees and wildlife genuinely made it feel like paradise. The beach is only a short walk across the road, making it incredibly easy to access, and there were always plenty of sunbeds available with none of the drama you sometimes hear about.
The food was exceptional. Producing food on such a large scale while maintaining such high quality is impressive. There was a fantastic variety every day, meaning there was always something for everyone. We particularly appreciated the chilled food room, which kept cheeses, meats and salads perfectly fresh despite the warm temperatures.
The entertainment team were brilliant. We found ourselves joining in with water polo, archery and the evening entertainment, but there was never any pressure to participate. They always took the time to come over for a chat and check everyone was having a good time. The staff consistently went above and beyond. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and if we had a question or wanted to arrange something at short notice, it was always handled with a smile.
The diving school attached to the hotel was also excellent. Pascal, Willy and Calvin were fantastic. My wife had the incredible experience of diving with turtles, and it was something she will never forget – all at an exceptionally reasonable price.
The staff are what truly make this hotel special. From the gardeners and housekeeping to the restaurant, entertainment and reception teams, every single person played a part in making our holiday unforgettable. There are far too many people to name individually, but here are just some of the amazing people who made our stay so memorable: Stefan, Anushka, Sanjay, Anil, Sunil, Pav, Ashley, Humza, Yeshna, Davesh, Mukesh, Jimmy, Hope, Tanya, Nola, Audrey and Kenny. Thank you all for your kindness, professionalism and for always making us feel so welcome.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Casuarina Resort & Spa to anyone considering a holiday in Mauritius, and we genuinely cannot wait to return. Thank you to everyone at the resort for making our first family resort holiday such a wonderful and memorable experience.
Mauritius is a beautiful country, but it is the warmth, kindness and hospitality of its people that make it truly unforgettable.

We had wonderful stay. Overall the services and staff on the top. We had an issue our room which was upstair then, we informed the front desk and needful has been by Mr. Shiva.
