We came to the hotel for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint.
We stayed in the Victoria for 2 section, which is adult only. I would recommend this area if you do not have children. We had a swim up room which we enjoyed using.
We were all exclusive so had access to all the restaurants and drinks. You just had to sign for what you had and it gave you the option to tip. The tip goes directly to the waiter who serves you, if you want the tip to be divided by the staff or other members bring cash. Get this before at the airport or in the town as there is not a cash point at the hotel.
The hotel has three restaurants; a fish, an Italian and a beef then the buffet. We ate at Morris Beef for breakfast lunch and dinner. This restaurant is adults only and exclusive to the Victoria for 2 customers. They served both the beef and Italian food menu. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is excellent. All the staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. The service was excellent, with a special shout out to Rak.
We had an issue with our room, hearing a banging noise through the night, which was coming from the pool pump. We let reception know and they resolved the problem by the following night so we were not disturbed by the noise again.
There is a bar at the Victoria for 2 and in the lobby. Both serve til 11pm. There is a nice atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The hotel offers a range of water sport activities that are included, you just have to book form water skiing, glass bottom boat, kayak, snorkels, paddle boards etc.
Would recommend staying at this hotel.
Perfect location on the beach. We chose the Victoria for 2 units which was perfect for older people and young couples, it was quite and very relaxing. The rooms were well equipped for a comfortable stay. The whole property was immaculately kept and looked after every day. Being an exclusive section to the hotel it was very quiet and well worth the additional cost. Staff were very friendly and always able to communicate and assist with our requests. They too extra care with our parents (both mid-eighties).
Kishan always made our room in Perfect conditions more than once a day
Excellent service received from Deepak at Morris Beef Restaurant He knows how to treat people like royalty
We loved our stay at The Victoria Beachcomber and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We were initially looking for a holiday in Europe but a travel recommended Mauritius as it was the same price, if not cheaper. I am so pleased she did as it was such a different holiday to our usual in Europe. The hotel felt more sophisticated and less hectic and the staff were much nicer.
We were initially looking a deluxe family room which was extremely spacious and very stylish having recently been refurbished. There was also lots of storage which makes all the difference with 2 teenage girls! It was cleaned twice a day to a very high standard, as were all areas of the hotel. The maintenance crew were often decorating at night to ensure standards were maintained.
The food in the buffet was very good and never boring. The curries were delicious!! It never felt overcrowded or like a soulless canteen like a lot of resort buffets can.
We had many long lunches at La Casa and felt like we were in an individual restaurant. We also enjoyed a few meals at Horizon. The staff were always very helpful with bookings.
My husband played golf and said the golf course and clubhouse were both impressive.
The hotel is situated on a lagoon which has the most amazing tropical fish and reef right on the doorstep. Don’t miss the snorkelling, I would also recommend a boat trip to see the dolphins. We also saw a whale, turtle, stingrays and flying fish. Many of the watersports are included in the all inclusive package and couldn’t be easier to book at the beach hut. The beach is cleaned regularly and has 4 beach bars so you’re never far from a cold Phoenix beer!!
We loved our time here and would love to go back!
