The Veranda Grand Baie is nestled among the palm trees in tropical gardens. Inside, the lovely Creole style gives it a colourful, friendly feel, with some attractive soft furnishings and distinctive design touches.
The main restaurant offers a unique and interactive dining experience overlooking a turquoise lagoon. Served as a buffet, the dishes offered feature international specialties. If you are looking to celebrate or treat yourself to something a bit different then the beach restaurant offers an exceptional a la carte menu featuring the seafood of our lagoons (at a fee).
There are pleasant views over the gardens from your very own balcony or terrace, and all 95 rooms come with air conditioning, as well as flat screen television, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, and mini-bar.
From the hotel it's just a stroll to the soft white sand of the beach. And just a few minutes into the heart of the Grand Baie resort - with its long bay and soft, sandy shore line.
This is a great place to enjoy some exhilarating water action and there are a freat selection of watersports available, including snorkelling, paddle boarding, and pedal boats.. all free of charge! Some watersports do occur a fee, these include scuba diving, fishing, kite surfing and catamaran cruises. Or why not simply relax at one of the beautiful hotel swimming pools? And if it's relaxation you want, you have to visit the spa, sauna and steam room, with its incredible outdoor Jacuzzi.
There's plenty for you to explore in and around Grand Baie and you are within walking distance from restaurants, shops and some excellent night life.

Mauritian charm personified
Wonderful little oasis within walking distance ( 10 mins along the beach) of bustling Grand Baie main Street . The hotel has many little nooks and crannies; library , fruit bar besides the usual pool bar etc . The staff are the main asset of Veranda as nothing is too much trouble and everything is carried with humour and warmth. Doushsan in Reception , Jamelia in the dining room , Noella behind the buffet bar and Roukaya in charge of guest experience are all amazing . Credit must go to the back room staff that we never see too because obviously the smooth running of this very pretty hotel would not be possible without a tight ship.
Warm and friendly boutique hotel in Grand Baie.
A warm and friendly boutique hotel at the end of Grand Baie. Charmingly decorated with native planting, encouraging lots of birds to watch as you sit by the pool. Our rooms overlooked the pool, which was worth the supplement I think, as could sit on veranda and watch the sunset while listening to the entertainment. Buffet has lovely service and lots of variety - ably overseen by Doushan on the floor and Noella from the kitchen. Beachfront is small but well equipped with some water sports activities. Easy walk to Grand Baie for a bigger beach, shops and nightlife. Hotel Sega night is worth staying in for. Roukaya and Jahmelia from guest services checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything.

The best hotel in Grand Baie by far
The very best honeymoon spent in Mauritius at Veranda Grand Baie. The staff have all been incredibly lovely, very polite and very helpful. Aurore and everyone were amazing, very welcoming and kind.
The hotel staff treated us to an amazing honeymoon dinner and a surprise birthday cake which was gorgeous.
We could not have asked for a better stay and would 100% come back to Veranda Grand Baie to meet the staff again and stay in the beautiful hotel.

It was an excellent place to have a honeymoon
It was lovely at the Veranda Grand Baie, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. There were lots of amenities on site or nearby. The bay was brilliant with lots of water activities available. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The site was very clean and it was a quiet area.
