We love travelling and, over the years, have stayed at many wonderful hotels around the world. Each has had its own atmosphere, style and personality, and many have given us unforgettable experiences.

And then there are those very rare hotels that stand apart from all the rest. Places where the experience is elevated to something truly unique and exceptional. We returned to the hotel for the second time in 2026, and just as on our first visit, our overall experience could be summed up in one word: WOW! Paradise Cove completely takes our breath away and, without comparison, ranks number one among all the hotels we have ever visited.

From the moment you drive through the gates, you feel the hotel’s unique sense of tranquillity, atmosphere and warmth. Everything is prepared for your arrival, and you do not simply feel welcomed – you feel as though the staff have genuinely been looking forward to seeing you. It is rare to experience such sincere hospitality from every single member of a hotel team.

The rooms are beautiful, inviting and decorated with soul and exceptional attention to detail. From your balcony or terrace, you are greeted by the most wonderful views of the turquoise lagoon and the hotel’s lush natural surroundings.

Throughout the day, the gardening team lovingly cares for the extensive grounds. They rake the sand, arrange the sun loungers, tend to the plants and create beautiful decorations using fresh flowers. Everywhere you look, your eyes are treated to colour, nature and thoughtful little details. Walking around the resort truly feels like wandering through a small paradise.

The food is an experience in itself. From the wonderful breakfast buffet offering everything you could possibly wish for – and much more – to delicious lunches, snacks, sundowner drinks and exceptional dinners. The three restaurants each provide their own culinary experience of the highest standard. When we arrived, our restaurant reservations had already been arranged, allowing us to enjoy the different cuisines throughout our stay. Yet another example of the hotel’s thoughtful attention to detail.

Every evening, there is wonderful entertainment featuring beautiful live music, perfectly suited to the hotel’s peaceful and unique atmosphere. On some evenings, guests can also experience authentic Mauritian dancing, bringing the island’s culture, warmth and spirit wonderfully close.

Whether you are on your honeymoon, celebrating your 25th wedding anniversary, enjoying a romantic getaway or simply seeking precious time together away from everyday life, the hotel creates an experience that feels romantic, intimate and personal. The service is of the very highest standard without ever feeling formal or stiff. Every member of the team – from the gardeners to the waiters, bartenders and management – gives their very best each day to ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience. There is always plenty of space. No queues, no crowds and no competition for places by the pools or in the restaurants. You can find your own private spot by the sea, beside one of the beautifully positioned infinity pools or in one of the charming love nests located around the peninsula. Even there, everything has been considered: simply press a small button, and a waiter will arrive with your chosen drinks – naturally accompanied by the same warm smile.

Would definitely return to this resort it’s beautiful and the staff a credit to the hotel. Food was amazing (Apart from the one buffet we tried, which we didn’t enjoy) all the al a carte food was lovely though and served with a smile The cove itself is stunning and enjoyed swimming in the sheltered cove.
