Ocean Villas

We stayed for a weekend on a full board basis and were very disappointed by the service. From the start, we felt a clear lack of trust toward local Mauritian guests, including an uncomfortable response when requesting ice and basic service items.

Despite a reservation for 8 people, no table was arranged for dinner. We were told to find a table ourselves or sit outside, away from the entertainment. We eventually had to combine tables ourselves.

We were also incorrectly charged for soft drinks that were supposed to be included in our package. Although the bill was later cancelled, the situation was handled in an unpleasant and unprofessional manner.

Having worked in tourism, I can confidently say this level of service and attitude is unacceptable. Mauritian guests deserve the same respect and treatment as any other guest.

Hello, I went to Ocean Villas for one night on the 7-8 February 2026 and it was a great experience. I truly appreciated the service of the villa's staff from assisting me through emails till in the villa itself. I booked the Pool view room and it was a great room (Highly recommended for couples).. I booked a full board plus package where I got breakfast and dinner on buffet style and lunch was a la carte. I enjoyed the Saturday bbq buffer for dinner. Despite alcoholic drinks are not included in the package, the menu of the alcoholic drinks were way more affordable and we did consume some. The barman along with the restaurant staffs were very nice and welcoming. Even the receptionist were very nice. All the food from dinner till lunch were awesome. The room also was beautifully decorated. The pool is a must with not so cold water and neither the sun was shading the pool. I have only one request for the hotel: Since lunch had only 1 main course and 1 dessert per person, it would be great to have a starter also. Or else I enjoyed my stay. Thank you Ocean Villas

Review: I had a very disappointing experience at this villa, and I would strongly advise against choosing it if you want to enjoy your holiday.

Check-in Experience: The reception area may look big, but it is far from welcoming. The check-in process was painfully slow, full of confusion, and required multiple follow-ups. Instead of feeling like a guest, I felt like I was forcing the staff to complete basic tasks.

Room Assignment: We were given a first-floor room, which was extremely noisy throughout the day. When we requested a change, the reception refused, even though many rooms were clearly empty. Later, we discovered that renovation work was happening on the ground floor of the same villa, which explained the constant disturbance.

Private Beach: The so-called private beach was in terrible condition. It was completely unmaintained, unsafe, and certainly not the relaxing experience one expects from a property advertising such a feature.

Activities and Water Sports: We booked directly with the property, and part of the package included water sports. However, the staff responsible was unavailable for the entire duration of our stay. This meant that one of the key attractions we paid for was simply not offered.

Overall: This villa fails to deliver on basic hospitality and does not honor the amenities it advertises. From poor service and noisy rooms to unsafe facilities and unavailable activities, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. If you value your holiday time and money, I strongly recommend choosing another property.
