The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa

I rarely write reviews about hotels, but this one deserves one from me. I spent six nights on a business trip and I had an amazing restful time. The architecture is so well planned out and the food was amazing. It has a blend of natural beauty and sophistication about it. I loved it all the way and only wished my family was here with me on the trip. I heard similar sentiments coming from my accompanying collegues and other senior delegates who had slept in this hotel before. We all agreed on one thing "It is a wonderful Hotel"

We are a family of four adults and stayed at the Westin Turtle Bay for our holiday from the 25 September to the 3 October, throughout our stay we found that all the staff there were very polite helpful and attentive in every way. We also thoght the food was good in all the restaurants, although our preference was with the Kangan, where chef Tiwary mastered some delicious food. Our thanks go out to Ravi, May and all the rest of the staff who made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We are looking forward to hopefully returning soon.

My husband and I spent eight wonderful nights at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa Mauritius, and overall we had a fantastic holiday. Even before we arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's communication. As a Lifetime Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member, I was delighted to learn that we had been upgraded, which was a lovely start to our trip. We arrived quite early in the morning, and while our room wasn't ready yet, it really wasn't a problem. We simply sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful views while waiting. The resort also gifted us two hats and a beach bag to take home, which was a thoughtful touch. When we finally saw our room, we were amazed. It was huge, with two bathrooms, four showers (including two outdoor showers), a separate bedroom, and a large veranda opening directly onto the beach. It genuinely felt like we had our own private slice of paradise. The resort has five restaurants, offering plenty of variety throughout the week. We chose the half-board package, which is probably worthwhile if breakfast isn't included in your rate. As a Platinum member, breakfast was complimentary for me, and looking back, we might have preferred the flexibility of paying as we went. The only challenge was that it wasn't always easy to secure reservations at the restaurants we wanted at our preferred times. Breakfast was excellent every morning, with a huge selection and an Indian corner serving freshly made dosas, which became one of my favourite parts of the day. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed the Italian Night, Mauritian Night and World Food Night buffets, all of which were very good. The Mediterranean Night wasn't really to our taste, but that's purely personal preference. We also visited the Indian and Pan-Asian restaurants more than once, and both were consistently enjoyable. One of the lovely perks of being a Platinum member was a complimentary rum-tasting experience. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different local rums and sampling a variety of flavours. At the end, we were able to choose our favourite, which was specially prepared and bottled for us to take home. It was such a thoughtful touch and made for a wonderful souvenir from our trip. One evening, we were invited to a management cocktail reception, which was a lovely opportunity to meet some of the team behind the resort. The fire dance performance afterwards was absolutely spectacular and one of the highlights of our stay. There were various activities available during the day. Some seemed quieter than others, but we particularly enjoyed the complimentary glass-bottom boat trip and the Tibetan bowl meditation session, both of which were relaxing and memorable experiences. The resort has a large main swimming pool as well as an adults-only pool. We never had any difficulties finding sun loungers, no matter what time of day we went. As expected in a tropical destination, there were mosquitoes around, but the hotel provided plug-in mosquito repellents for the room, and these worked very well. What really made the stay special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was arranging restaurant bookings, helping with excursions, or simply checking if everything was okay, the service always felt sincere and welcoming. We also used the hotel's taxi service for a private island tour and were very pleased with the experience. Having a comfortable vehicle and driver just for the two of us made exploring Mauritius easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Westin Turtle Bay. Between the beautiful beachfront location, our incredible room, the variety of dining options, the lovely Platinum benefits, and the kindness of the staff, it was a memorable holiday. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
