The hotel lies on a private beachfront estate known as Balaclava along Turtle Bay, ideally located between Port Louis (12 km) and Grand Bay (12 km), on the north-west coast, which is known for its good climate. New trunk roads provide easy access to the hotel. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is approximately 60 km from the hotel.
This hotel is a luxurious beach resort and spa of the highest international standard, picturesquely framed by a 25-hectare green tropical garden and nature park and flanked by the Indian Ocean. Its remarkable setting overlooks the most enchanting Turtle Bay. The hotel is a perfect blend of tropical and colonial architecture which provides an elegant background for a sophisticated and yet utterly relaxing holiday, thanks to the unequalled multitude of sports and leisure facilities available. Renovated in 2009, this charming beach hotel has a total of 215 guest rooms. The premises are air-conditioned and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon and a games room. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's playground and kids' club. There is also a bar at the resort. Conference facilities are available to business travellers and all guests can take advantage of the WLAN Internet access provided. Furthermore, room and laundry services are on offer (fees apply). Those guests who are arriving by car may park their vehicle in the hotel's car park. Bicycles can be hired for a fee from the hotel.

A special thank you to Krishna Sanmuthiya, Resort Manager at Maritim Resort & Spa, for his exceptional hospitality, professionalism and genuine care for guests. His warm and attentive approach truly made our stay special. A big thank you as well to Azhagen, Grace, Loovesh, Yash, Yvette and Gael for their wonderful service. Excellent leadership, amazing team and a truly memorable stay! ❤️
Great day package experience for the family
We are here for the day, our last full day in Mauritius. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. As part of the package we had tea but there wasn’t anything I could eat (non dairy and veggie) so the chef made me this, also Dany brought us extra ice cream for my girls (very fussy twins) .
Amazing Hotel
What an amazing hotel. Staff were great food was great cocktails were great (not pre mixed). Rooms were great beach was great. Honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed at In Mauritius. Beautiful big grounds to walk around to work of all the meals and drinks. Was so sad to be leaving.

Awesome stay at Maritim
Exceptional Mauritian hospitality — the staff made our stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a wonderful stay at the Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius in Balaclava. The resort itself is beautiful, nestled in the idyllic turtle Bay Area, but what really made our experience special was the warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality of the people working there.
I particularly want to mention Mr Krishna Sanmuthyia, the Resort Manager. From our interactions with him, it was immediately apparent that he genuinely cares about the experience of his guests. He went out of his way to make sure that we were well looked after and treated in the best possible way throughout our stay. His personal attention, warmth and professionalism made a real impression on us. It is not every day that you encounter a Resort Manager who takes such a personal interest in ensuring his guests are happy.
Cherina, the Front Office Manager, was equally welcoming and professional, and Neha at Reception was lovely to deal with. Their friendliness and attentiveness made us feel welcome from the outset.
Our thanks also go to Mr Ganesh, the Restaurant Manager, for taking such good care of us and helping make our dining experiences so enjoyable.
And then there is the bar team! Azagen, together with Grace, Yash, Loovesh, Gael and Yvette, deserves a special mention. They were friendly, attentive and always made us feel comfortable and welcome. Spending time at the bar became part of the enjoyment of our stay, largely because of the people behind it.
There were, of course, many other members of staff whose names we unfortunately did not get, and they deserve recognition too. Everywhere we went, we encountered smiles, courtesy and a genuine willingness to help.
Hotels can have beautiful rooms, gardens, pools and restaurants, but ultimately it is the people who turn a stay into a memory. That is where the Maritim really stood out for us.
Mr Sanmuthyia and his entire team represent Mauritian hospitality beautifully.
We left with very fond memories and would happily return. Superb value and perfect location for an awesome vacation.

Fourth return trip to Maritim!
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius! From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, the warm hospitality and incredible service made our trip truly special. Balaclava is a really nice part of the island with good beaches.
A massive thank you to the catering and restaurant teams who took such great care of us at every meal. Special shoutouts to Deven, Vimla, and Danette—your genuine warmth, attention to detail, and top-tier service made every dining experience a highlight.
Our children had the absolute best time at the Kids Club thanks to ReineClaude. Their enthusiasm, energy, and care made our kids feel completely at home, allowing us to truly relax knowing they were in great hands. (The football; henna tattoos; archery; animal farm with the giant tortoise etc were amazing!)
The staff at Maritim Resort & Spa really set it apart. We can’t wait to return!
