The InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort spans over a breathtaking area on the island, offering magnificent views of the Bay of Balaclava. Situated to the north of Port-Louis, the capital city, the hotel is conveniently positioned within a 15-minute drive of the vibrant shopping, entertainment, and dining hub of Grand Baie. Additionally, it is just a 55-minute journey from Plaisance International Airport.
This resort offers fabulous views of the ocean and 210 elegant, functional, well-furnished and spacious rooms. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange and a cloakroom. There is also a hairdressing salon, restaurants, bars, sports facilities, a games room, and a spa offering various treatments. For the younger guests, there is a children's playground and a kids' club. Cars, scooters and bicycles are all available to rent (hire fees apply) and the hotel's concierge is on hand to assist with any request.

Each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath and a hairdryer. Rooms are furnished with double or king-size beds. We spent our honeymoon at the InterContinental Mauritius, and the service was simply beyond anything we have ever experienced in a hotel!

Absolutely amazing!
Would definitely recommend this resort as we came on our honeymoon and it is absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly, helpful and welcoming. On top of that the views food and drinks are fantastic! Big shout too Naveen, Ravindra, Suresh, Kuldeep, Shruti, Kevin and Ben for being absolutely amazing!

Fantastic resort, Amazing staff, clean spacious Rooms with great views. The amenities were great with heated main pool and second pool with a more quiet feel away from main pool bar area. Plenty of loungers on beach and lots of seating areas to choose from. They also have kayaks and boat experiences available. The Senso restaurant had so many wonderful buffet options, (the most succulent chicken and beef I've ever had), but there are also 3 a la cart restaurant options (Italian, Asian and Indian) on the resort. We found our All-inclusive package in Oct2026 great value for money. Good sunset location, 15min from Grand Baie and about 30min from Port Louise, 1hr from airport
What stood out most for us was the fantastic restaurant staff, they are so attentive and take pride in their work. Ajaypal, Vimla, Surya the chef, Manish, Noah, Wesley, Cedric, Sookesh, Vinod, to name a few, made us feel like VIP guests. We've never experienced such warm and attentive staff and from my hospitality background, I truly appreciate their sense of urgency to just get things done, professionally and with pride. Well done.
