This was our second visit to Shangri-La Le Touessrok, and once again it delivered exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, luxurious and incredibly relaxing holiday.
We stayed in a Hibiscus Suite with interconnecting rooms, which worked extremely well and gave us plenty of space and uninterrupted views of the sea. The resort itself is beautifully laid out, with a lovely peaceful atmosphere. It never felt crowded or noisy, which is one of the things we particularly love about it.
The beach is exceptional — beautiful, spacious and uncrowded, with fantastic service. One of the touches we really enjoyed was being able to simply press the button at your sun lounger and have a member of staff arrive to take your order. It makes the whole experience feel wonderfully effortless. A short boat trip to the private island, where you can also experience the beach from the other side, was another real plus.
We also used the adults-only pool, which was warm, clean and a lovely place to spend a few hours. The gym deserves a mention too — it's an excellent facility with a very good range of equipment, and importantly, it was quiet whenever we used it.
The golf course is another great feature, (if you play golf). It's free to use for hotel guests, which is a fantastic inclusion, although it's certainly not an easy course! It's quite challenging and we'd recommend taking plenty of extra golf balls — you'll probably need them!
The staff are one of the hotel's biggest strengths. Everyone we encountered was friendly, genuinely attentive and keen to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a number of staff members who went above and beyond during our stay and really helped make it special — Coco's: Nicole, Antoin, Shabnum, Martine and Roshun; Housekeeping: Deepmala and Devkumar. They all deserve a special mention.
We chose the half-board package, which is particularly good value because it includes all of the resort's restaurants. This is a real advantage. While we would say the food quality isn't quite at the level of LUX* Belle Mare, where we've also stayed, the fact that you can choose from all the restaurants without having to worry about additional supplements makes the Shangri-La package very appealing.
We've visited the east coast of Mauritius many times and think the location is hard to beat for a relaxing luxury break. This isn't the resort we'd choose if we were looking for lots of nightlife or a lively atmosphere — but if you want to switch off, enjoy beautiful surroundings, excellent service and a genuinely chilled luxury holiday, it's difficult to fault.
We would absolutely recommend Shangri-La Le Touessrok and, having already returned once, I wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
Everything was great the staff very helpful and friendly the food amazing the location good and I'd like to thank Dr.Hujjarre for his professionalism and caring even after I returned to my country he kept following up and asking about my energy that he healed me.
our third time stay at the hotel and as usual it was beyond our expection was wonderfuk and memorable from start to finish, the high standard of hospitality exceeded our expectation Special Thanks to Mr Clarel for his incredible hospitality,he welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness from the moment we arrived he went above and beyond by arranging another for us to use for our late check-out this kind gesture allowed us to fully enjoy our day at the resort without hassle every meal we had was absolutely cooked to perfection we are deeply grateful to Mr Clarel and the entire team for our stay we cannot wait to return and to add we also had a beautiful boat trip out on the water with skipper Roshan who was an excellent guide through out our trip thank you all Nooraisha
Very nice location on the east side of the country, early sunrise and one of the most spectacular views from the room and the beach as well. The morning breeze was just breathtaking. I had one of the most memorable holiday ever.
The moment we arrived and the welcome given made us feel so important. From the concierge, to the reception, each person at the restaurant. We visited 2 restaurants only TSK and Saffran. I was not well during my stay but was given so much care and my choice woof food was made available. First day had a breakfast and for the next day it was already planned by them for me as soon as I arrived at the table by a person who didn’t serve me on the first day. We went to coco first day evening but unfortunately they had very few vegetarian options but for the 2nd morning breakfast I got so many deserts specially made vegetarian by chef and served. It was very surprising believe me it was delicious.
Rooms were very nice with balcony where you can see the beach rite next. A big bathroom with Tub in centre. A bottle of complementary wine and a pair of wearables and slippers. Truely made us feel special. Rooms were Cleaned twice daily and served cookies were refilled every time.
The lost important of all, I had severe viral and Dr. Hujjaree took very good care of me making it so much comfortable that I cud spend the last 2 days enjoying the trip. He was available thru out my stay and afterwards as well to make sure I reach back home comfortable and safe else my trip would have gone for a toss.
I want to give 5* to each and every staff at TSK and Safran who made my day so memorable with breakfast and dinner. Specially my choices were taken care of without being repeated. It was amazing and truely special. Thanks you Shangri-la Le Touessrok.
The resort facility was great with having various beach activities and also sport center is amazing. Resort is very clean and spacious. Food quality is average and was not the best. The buffet is okay but the dinning Restaurants are not special.
The medical centre is very helpful and super cooperative especially Dr. Shangela. He is very professional and caring till last min.
