Shangri La Le Touessrok Resort and Spa

The Shangri-La is truly special, mostly due to its exceptional service. Every single staff member was superlative, routinely going the extra mile to surprise us with their care and attention.

The resort itself is an oasis of peace and beauty, making it well-deserving of its 5-star rating.

The only aspect that fell short was the food quality in the main restaurant, which was very average and did not match the premium standard of the rest of the experience.

That being said, I would still highly recommend this resort. We visited in June, which is winter in Mauritius. Because of this, the resort wasn't fully booked, which made our stay feel even more peaceful and comfortable.

Our stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok Mauritius has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. A particular highlight was Ilot Mangénie, the resort's private island paradise. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil atmosphere, it felt like stepping into a postcard. It is truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We stayed on the half-board package, which included the buffet breakfast and dinner at TSK. The quality, variety, and consistency of the food were outstanding throughout our stay. We also enjoyed dining from the à la carte menus at Kushi, the Japanese restaurant, Safran, the Indian restaurant, and Coco's, the Mediterranean restaurant. Every meal was superb, showcasing the exceptional culinary standards across the resort. What made our stay even more memorable was the incredible team. A special thank you to Queen and Ana, our hosts, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. We would also like to recognize Anil at the pool for his outstanding service, Ponnen at Coco's for his friendly and attentive hospitality, and Prema and Tony from housekeeping for keeping everything immaculate and ensuring our comfort every day. A special thank you as well to Adelito, Executive Sous Chef at Coco's, whose culinary expertise and passion were evident in every meal. We were also wonderfully looked after by Juahan, our butler on Ilot Mangénie, whose attentive service made our time on the island even more special. At breakfast, Nicolle, Restaurant Manager at TSK, and Davika provided exceptional service each morning, always greeting guests with warmth and ensuring every detail was perfect. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Prakash Mumgur, Senior Restaurant Manager. A true gentleman, he embodies hospitality at its finest. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests left a lasting impression on us. The people are what make this resort truly special. Every member of the team went above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. Thank you all for the wonderful memories. We leave with full hearts and cannot wait to return. Without hesitation, this is one of the finest resorts we have ever stayed in, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mauritius.
