Paradise
We had the most wonderful time at the Prince Maurice. The place is paradise; the setting and the quality of the spaces, the facilities and the food is second to none. The thing that makes it truly special is all the staff - they are uplifting to be around and everyone we interacted with couldn’t have done more to make us have the most enjoyable stay. We are at home now, with fond memories and the holiday blues - wishing we could be back there again soon!

One of the best luxury hotels in Mauritius! From the moment we arrived, everything was simply exceptional.
The service is truly outstanding — the staff are warm, attentive, professional and genuinely caring. Every little detail is taken care of, making you feel incredibly special throughout your stay.
🍽️ The restaurants and food deserve a special mention. Everything we tasted was beautifully presented, fresh and absolutely delicious. The dining experience was truly one of the highlights of our stay.
👧 A special thank you for the attention given to children. The team went above and beyond to make our little one feel welcome and comfortable. The Kids Club is wonderful, with great activities and such a lovely team.
What really stood out was the personalised attention and the genuine effort from the staff to make our stay memorable. It is this level of service that makes Prince Maurice feel truly special.

Unmatched Tranquillity and Service, but Room for Improvement
Constance Prince Maurice is a truly beautiful hotel, and the overwhelming feeling you get from staying here is one of peace, tranquillity and complete relaxation. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and serene, and the setting and grounds are absolutely stunning. There is a real sense of luxury throughout the resort, and it is a wonderful place to simply switch off and enjoy the surroundings.
A particular highlight was the staff. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally attentive, welcoming and friendly, and the level of service really contributes to the overall experience. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and you are made to feel very well looked after.
Breakfast was also lovely, with a great selection, and the beach is beautiful. The water was wonderfully calm during our stay, making it a really relaxing place to spend time by the ocean.
Unfortunately, our experience with Room 61 did let the stay down somewhat. The room is situated immediately next to what appeared to be a staff/towel or linen cupboard, which was accessed regularly throughout the day and, on one occasion, the noise woke us during the night. For a hotel centred so heavily around peace and tranquillity, this was particularly noticeable and something we feel should be considered when allocating this room to guests.
We also felt that Room 61, and potentially other rooms of the same style, was beginning to feel somewhat dated in its décor and finish. Having also stayed at Constance Belle Mare Plage during our time in Mauritius, we personally felt the room there was significantly better in terms of its overall appearance, finish and feel.
More concerningly, there was also a persistent sewage-like smell in Room 61, which was quite unpleasant and certainly detracted from the luxury experience we had expected.
Overall, Prince Maurice remains an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful property, with wonderful grounds, excellent staff and an atmosphere that is difficult to match. We thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of our stay and would happily recommend the hotel for its setting, service and tranquillity. However, given the standard and price point of the property, we do feel the issues we experienced with Room 61 need attention, as the room itself did not quite live up to the otherwise outstanding experience offered by the resort.

The Beautiful Prince Maurice
A quick 3 night stay at the stunning Prince Maurice for me whilst on a solo golf trip. I have stayed many times before and the hotel is magnificent. A real credit to the team that work so hard to create a perfect holiday environment. Thank you and see you soon. Mr G.
