Shandrani Beachcomber Resort and Spa

We had an incredible holiday at Shandrani resort . Food was incredible and the standard of good served and presented was perfection . Restaurant service from waiting staff were always welcoming . Reception staff and all managers always ensuring that we were having a great time and always said to let them know if we needed anything at all . Housekeeping staff were always helpful and rooms were cleaned immaculately , they sprayed the rooms when required to minimise the mosquitoes. I love that Beechcomber ethos is to ensure that every staff member greet their guests . The garden staff ( can not remember their names) need acknowledging as the resort is huge and maintenance is hardwork . Beach staff ( can’t remember the two guys names ) were brilliant and played beach volley with the children and ensured everyone joined in . Security at the entrance were friendly and the checks they did made us feel safe and secure at all times . My husband hurt his hand ( whilst playing beach volley ball ) and the doctor on site was very helpful , fast response and supportive . We attended an event to see a new apartment with a jacuzzi and Manager Bernard ( the kindest and caring person we have ever met , always greeted us and ensured everyone joined guest was looked after ) we visited the new apartment with other guests as they wanted feedback , which just shows they want guests to be involved and happy at Beechcomber , they took all the feedback on board . At the event they had towel origami and the staff on that day were friendly , amazing and attentive to all guests and the chefs made amazing Mauritian food with drinks . Breakfast , lunch and dinner all five star quality . We really need to acknowledge Jean-Yves, Mervyn and Barnard are amazing hosts and ensure the standard and quality remain high from all services provided . Their constant communication with guests was well received . The porter staff at the reception were always welcoming and helped with all the luggage and enquires we visited the spa too , thank you to Shirlie for meeting us at the managers event as we then all booked treatments which was great , all the staff at the spa were lovely and friendly . The boutique staff were always friendly too and I did spend quite a bit of time in there buying flip flops and souvenirs ! The beaches are incredible and well maintained . Water sport activities are easily accessible and good fun . Swimming pool overlooks the beach and has a children’s pool too . The night time entertainment and shows are real fun . Hot pancakes and desserts served at 4pm , children loved this . Being 15 minutes from the airport , you can see the planes take off and land . This means you can make the most of time at the resort . I have made a list of names of staff and would like them to be acknowledged and some I forgot to note their names down , apologises for this . But all the staff were brilliant . So we will be returning very soon and recommended this resort to friends , family and work colleagues who will be visiting soon . We had the most relaxing and wonderful experience at the spa of Shandrani Beachcomber Resort in Mauritius. The two wonderful ladies, Disha and Malini made us feel at home and comfortable and gave the best back and neck massages. We would most certainly return, hopefully soon.

Our family had a great time in Shandrani! Our children spent a few days doing watersports, waterskiing and kayaking. A special mention to Jacques, Vincent and Darwin for their encouragement and patience when our son and daughter were learning to waterski.
