An Unforgettable Stay and the Most Perfect Wedding at Constance La Chaland
We recently returned from an incredible stay at Constance La Chaland, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that the level of attention to detail and service was beyond reproach. Every area of the hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was stunning, and everything we could possibly need was provided, including a complimentary bottle of wine and delicious Mauritian cakes. The hotel is beautifully laid out, making it easy to find the pools, bars and restaurants. On our first evening, we dined in the main buffet restaurant, where we were treated to an incredible array of delicious food, with the theme changing nightly. When we say buffet, please do not imagine ordinary, run-of-the-mill fare. The food was fresh, varied and beautifully presented, and the service was exceptional, from the waiting staff to the chefs. Breakfast the following morning was equally impressive, with fresh food, regularly replenished displays and staff who ensured that everything was kept immaculate throughout the service. The hotel also offers an à la carte restaurant, which must be booked in advance. As I have dietary requirements, I particularly appreciated this option. I absolutely adored the food choices and the assistance provided by the sommelier, who helped make our dining experience even more enjoyable. My partner and I had chosen this wonderful resort as the place to get married, and Darshinee, our hotel contact, arranged our appointment with the Plan My Date team and oversaw the initial communication, ensuring that we had nothing to worry about. The General Manager, Gabriel Juneau, personally introduced himself to us to ensure that we were happy and felt confident about our wedding arrangements. In fact, every member of staff was fantastic. They quickly remembered our names, took an interest in our plans and regularly asked how our day had gone. These thoughtful touches made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. On the day of our wedding, we were made to feel incredibly special. Staff remembered that it was our big day and took the time to wish us well, adding to the excitement and emotion of such a memorable occasion. We were married on the beach at the end of the day, and we could not have chosen a more perfect venue. Afterwards, the amazing team thoughtfully brought all our flowers, wedding cake and champagne back to our room. That evening, our table in the à la carte restaurant had been beautifully decorated, and the housekeeping team had transformed our room, decorating the bed, scattering petals and running us a bath. Every detail was considered, making our wedding day feel truly magical. The following morning at breakfast, the General Manager, came to see us again to ask how our special day had gone and whether we were happy with everything. This personal touch meant a great deal to us and perfectly demonstrated the care and attention that runs throughout the hotel. From the moment we arrived to the sad moment we had to leave, we genuinely cannot fault any aspect of our wonderful and memorable stay. Everyone, from housekeeping and the waiting staff to the front-of-house team, management and everyone in between, went above and beyond to ensure that not only we, but all the guests, had a holiday to remember for all the very best reasons. It feels almost unfair to single out individual members of staff when the experience we enjoyed was so clearly the result of an outstanding team effort. However, a few special mentions are deserved. Firstly, Gabriel Juneau, the General Manager, who leads such a superb team and was always approachable, welcoming and attentive. Thierrey, Nicolas, Noushirah and Adrien from the front-of-house team were all marvellous, as were the many other colleagues who supported them. Kavish and his team, along with the chefs at Tide and Turf, deserve special recognition for their wonderful service and food. Jeet in the bar area was equally fantastic, as were all the other members of the team whose names we may not have mentioned but whose kindness and professionalism contributed to our experience. We simply cannot thank everyone at Constance La Chaland enough for making our stay so exceptional and our wedding day so special. The service, attention to detail, beautiful surroundings and genuine warmth of the staff made this a truly unforgettable experience. We arrived as guests and left with memories we will treasure for a lifetime. We would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful resort to anyone looking for an exceptional holiday, and particularly to couples considering it as the setting for their wedding. Our stay at Constance Le Chaland, Mauritius, was truly amazing, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team for making our experience so special, from the very first reservation until the end of our stay.
I would like to start by thank Talayvanee from the reservations team, who was incredibly helpful, supportive, and professional. She assisted us throughout the reservation process and offered us excellent rates for both my sister and me. Her kindness and willingness to help made everything so easy from the very beginning.
A special thank you to Adrian, who gave us such a warm welcome upon arrival and took great care of us. He also kindly assisted us with changing our room, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well looked after. What made his hospitality even more special was that he made sure to say goodbye to us before our departure, knowing he would be off that day. This thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. By the end of our stay, he felt more like a member of our family than simply a member of the hotel team. It is these genuine human connections that make a stay truly unforgettable.
My sincere appreciation also goes to Ingrid at the reception, who followed up with us and made sure that we were happy and comfortable with our room. Her attention, kindness, and genuine concern for our well-being made us feel truly valued as guests.
I would also like to congratulate the chef “ Barkhach” and the entire restaurant team. Every day felt like a new culinary adventure! With a different cuisine and gastronomy experience each day, it was as if we were travelling around the world through food. The variety, creativity, and dedication behind every meal made dining one of the highlights of our stay. A special mention will also go to the restaurants: wazifa , Cintia , Marie, Zinat, Rikha .
The teams at the bars and around the swimming pool were equally wonderful. Their friendliness, warm smiles, and genuine hospitality made every moment enjoyable. Every morning, we were greeted with a cheerful “Bonjour!” and the thoughtful question, “How was everything?” These little gestures made such a big difference and reflected the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort.
What made this stay truly unforgettable was not only the beautiful setting, but above all, the people. Every team member contributed to making us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
A heartfelt thank you to Talayvanee, Adrian, Ingrid, the culinary team, the restaurant staff, the bar and pool teams, and every single member of the resort. Your kindness, professionalism, and passion for hospitality made our stay exceptional.

A fabulous resort hotel
We had a fantastic stay at Constance Le Chaland. The resort was wonderful, and our accommodation was clean, tidy and very comfortable, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy a holiday.
The food was fabulous in both the à la carte and buffet restaurants, and dining was a real highlight of our stay.
What made the experience particularly special, though, was the staff. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming, and there are a few people we would especially like to thank. Nicholas in guest services provided such kind and attentive service, while Diddier at the bar made every day feel special.
Mervin, the sommelier, deserves a mention for his fabulous selection of wines. We would also like to thank Rayen for looking after us so well by the pool and on the beach, and for the lovely conversations that made our time there even more enjoyable.
The warmth and personal attention from the team made this a memorable holiday. A fantastic resort with comfortable accommodation, fabulous food and wonderful people—we would highly recommend Constance Le Chaland.
