Sunrise Attitude

The property is beautiful and well located for beach activities. The staff are very kind and welcoming. I am coeliac / gluten free and I was very well looked free by Chef Shuba in The Market restaurant, who created special meals and desserts for me every night so that we could be sure that the food was not cross contaminated with gluten. For those with special dietary needs, you must talk to the chefs personally. They are the ones who have detailed knowledge of the ingredients and preparation, and they will do anything they can to help you (and make you something fabulous). If we visit Mauritius again, we will definitely be staying at Sunrise Attitude.

I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Attitude. What I really liked about the hotel is that it offers two completely different atmospheres.

On one side, you have The Social House, which is perfect if you want to have fun, enjoy some music, meet people, and have a more lively experience. On the other side, there is Papaya, which is much quieter and more relaxing. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy some peace and quiet, and simply chill without too much noise.recommen

I really appreciated having the choice between enjoying a fun and social atmosphere or having a peaceful moment to relax. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was excellent.

I definitely recommend Sunrise Attitude for anyone looking for a place where you can both have fun and relax, depending on what you feel like doing. I would definitely come back!

Sunrise Attitude was an absolute delight from the start to the end. Arriving there, we were greeted with a refreshing signature drink by super caring and wonderful staff. Baggage was brought straight to our room and we were shown around to see what the hotel has to offer. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and everything was taken care of in a highly professional, but relaxed way. The hotel offers a few bars with entertainment, a social area with games and activities, free water fountains to fill up your bottles and different pools.

Couple swim up The room seemed a bit small at first sight, but the room layout is well thought-out. It features a bathroom with a separate toilet, the living area with a sofa, a surprisingly large queen bed and a mini bar. The highlight of this room would be the terrace, though. We had a comfy outdoor sofa in the shaded part of the terrace and a sunbed in the sun. The terrace also comes with direct access to a semi-private pool shared by 8 (or 10?) rooms. This offers relaxed sunbathing on your terrace with only very little disruption - great for a quiet time out in paradise and with a wonderful view into the garden. We would definitely recommend the couple swim-up room.

Villa We also had the opportunity to spend the majority of our stay in one of the villas. And this was next level luxury. The villa comes with a huge bed, a sofa next to a panorama window/door, its own private pool, two terraces (one with a couple sunbed and the other one with two comfy armchairs and a little garden with plenty of palm trees and a few bushes. The villa is the dream. Our mornings started with freshly-brewed coffee on our terrace and a beautiful view on our own little garden in paradise. Just imagine the relaxation that comes with this kind of luxury. We are still dreaming of this most wonderful experience.

Food Breakfast and dinner are offered as a buffet. For breakfast the hotel offers a wide range of foods, eggs freshly made to your liking, crêpes, waffles, muesli, fresh fruit and also a small range of cheese and luncheon meet to choose from. Only the coffee here was a bit disappointing. But we simply had our coffee in our room before or after breakfast. Dinner offered changing meals, including different meats (beef, chicken, lamb, duck), fish, vegetarian and vegan options. Sides included steamed Basmati, potatoes and steamed or sautéed vegetables. There is also a salad bar and a soup of the day as your entrée and an own dessert buffet featuring around 5 different desserts - one better than the other.

Bars The bars and restaurants offer signature cocktail and mocktail creations using local ingredients. Some drinks seem a bit exotic on paper, but we were generally very happy with the drinks and service offered. There is also a tea bar with a lovely furnished living room open during the day - one of our favourite places to make us feel at home.

Activities There are several games and activities to choose from, including darts, table tennis, different board games, snorkeling tours and sports tournaments - the vast majority of these can be joined at no extra cost. The hotel also has its own beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, complimentary sunscreen and corals just a few meters away in the ocean.
