- Ambre A Sun Resort

Ambre - a Sun Resort Mauritius is a chic hotel with some fabulous amenities. Sleek, modern décor, irresistible beach location and exceptional spa, swimming pool and restaurants, it's worth every one of its four stars.
There are so many highlights... the incredible 750-metre long white sandy beach is breath-taking. The sheltered bay of warm azure water is beguiling. Then there's the tropical lagoon. And the spa, and so much natural beauty at every turn.
The Ambre Mauritius plays its part too. It's a beautiful looking hotel. You'll see that in lots of ways - the incredible swimming pool and the stylish Coral Bar for example. But you'll see it in smaller ways too: in every perfectly chosen feature and detail in every room.
And talking of the rooms... Rooms are air-conditioned with a balcony or terrace. In-room facilities include flat-screen satellite tv, safe, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer and FREE Wi-Fi. Each room has a welcome surprise from dreamy bathrooms to cocktails kits also a farewell gift of a freshly baked cookie. A selection of room upgrades is available for a supplement.
Equal attention is given to the amenities you'll enjoy throughout the hotel. From the tennis courts to the fitness centre to the spa. And the restaurants are exceptional. Each has its own look and style; each will tempt you with some of the best flavours Mauritian gastronomy has to offer.
This really is a resort where your needs come first. So make the most of your stay; make the most of Mauritius.

We did spent a really nice moment for the Wedding Anniversary of my parents. The staffs are really friendly and a special thanks to Nicolleta, Hussain and Nissar for their excellent service.
We had dinner here to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary and we were very happy with the service. The food was good and the service was excellent. Mrs Nicolleta, Mr Husain, Mr Nissar and all the staff members were nice and friendly. Will definitely comeback. Thank you all.
Relaxing and nice massage, det location and music is nice, clean room, respectful massage, no noise
The spa staff are so helpful. I had the most relaxing and tranquil massage by Bushra and would appreciate to anyone looking to unwind.
Possibly the best holiday I've ever been on. The two main strengths are how quiet it is, and of course, the incredible staff. We were given a short tour on arrival as we were taken to our room which, admittedly was a little dated - however, it was spotlessly clean and we only go there to sleep anyway. More importantly, the reception, restaurants, bar and beach areas are beautiful and cleaned several times a day. It is noticeable just how many staff there are, and also that there are always managers around keeping an eye and taking the time to ask if everything is alright - I've never encountered such an active level of service. The buffet, while not quite as vast as some I've seen (not a criticism) was really high quality, with a range of roasts, fish, curries and pasta as well as different speciality dishes each night. Breakfast was my favourite, with bacon, eggs, omelettes cooked to order, crepes and fresh pastries etc. Very rarely did we see burgers etc, and chips were only served at the beach snack bar - again, I consider this a positive. There were loungers in the garden 'quiet area', around the pool, and then further down the beach. The pool sometimes had no piped music at all, but usually easy listening jazz, salsa or reggae. The only time it got a bit noisy was when when the animation team did aqua gym in the mornings - when no-one joined in, the team tended to stay by the pool and play their music, rather than the usual easy listening. Apart from that, any games were played near the beach bar, so the pool stayed really peaceful. I only saw the time try to do a loud drinking game one Saturday tea-time, and the pool area emptied! They didn't bother the next Saturday - a customer base mostly in their fifties don't want that. It looked like 70% of people were in their fifties and 30% young couples. There was a pretty even mix of British, German, French, Russian and some Mauritian. All the staff were incredible but a special thankyou goes to the bar staff, who were as entertaining as they were hard-working: thankyou for making our trip so special Anisha, Dan, Yuvish, Shane, David, Tarish, Sanjiv, Jayvir, Ayush, Jayesh, Kemal, Etan and of course, the wonderful Isa! Sometimes Saturday can be a bit lively with day visitors, but it wasn't bad. On the first Saturday, a loud group of French and Mauritian lads arrived, looking like a stag party (bad choice of venue). They were shouting in the pool, when two of the pool waiters went across, reminded them that drinks are not allowed in the pool and (I'm guessing from their gesturing) that they might be better off at the beach bar, off they went and peace returned. Very impressive act from the pool waiters! I heard that a big refit is taking place during the Autumn, which is nice. Management - please don't change the atmosphere of this hotel, by going for big screens and constant music. What you have is a rare gem - please don't change what you do.
