From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty
Where do I start… a girlfriend trusted me to find somewhere in the world to celebrate her 60th and man did I deliver 😊 (seriously I had no way of knowing how how much!). Having the brief of “I want to go to an island somewhere” I had absolutely no idea just how incredibly amazing our stay would be! The staff oh my! Our Luxury Escapes guide at Male who greeted us at the airport was just the beginning of an experience of a lifetime, Sienna, who greeted us at Kooddoo after our direct flight from Melbourne and connecting flight to Kooddoo, Anastasia, who was our go to and checked in on us making sure we had everything we needed, Ivy and the wellness team oh my!, the pool bar staff, Naveen, Rachita, Pubudu, Kunal and Kasun - you guys absolutely rock! Not to mention everyone in the restaurant (no chance of remembering everyone but please know you were awesome!!!). Smiles for miles!
The dive team - you guys ensured that my very anxious and very frightened friend who had a previously horrible experience snorkeling in another country managed to actually enjoy her experience and overcome a very big fear.
The other guests we met just made our stay even better! What a great bunch of humans!
I am very happy to say I will have gained laugh lines that I will wear with pride from our time with you all!
Location - breathtaking! Atmosphere - vibrant, so welcoming, the most beautiful staff who we could not fault even if we tried Room - OMG! Beach front villa with our private pool and maybe a 3 metre walk to the beach Value - value!?? Priceless !!!! Cleanliness - spotless - I didn’t put the make up room sign out and they still came to do it!!! Amenities - we wanted for nothing!

Incredible honeymoon
Went for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and really went out their way for us. It was also my birthday and the whole day they went above and beyond for me, had a happy birthday set up on the bed when we came back and had a special table set for me for dinner. So many reef sharks and incredible fish right at your door, and we went snorkelling with turtles and saw dolphins on a cruise. Poppy, Sandeep, Naveen and Kory were amazing and really made so much effort with us! Highly recommend this hotel!
The best housekeeper – Anastasia.
Everything was excellent, and we would especially like to commend our housekeeper Anastasia for her thoughtful and heartfelt service. We are extremely satisfied — she is truly the best housekeeper.
Amazing trip!
We’ve recently had a trip of a lifetime at Mercure Koodoo Resort. Everything was set out perfect from start to finish. The resort itself feels private, relaxed & is set out at a perfect location, the house reef only a short snorkel away for endless entertainment. It’s like a real life aquarium! The rooms are modern & super clean. Roll out of bed straight into the ocean for the sunrise each day. Big thankyou to Jelani also for a floral design on the bed celebrating my partners birthday, great touch! The food was excellent! So much variety & all so fresh. Fish was flaking away at every meal, love the endless pastry ideas aswell. Most importantly want to mention the kind & friendly staff. They were amazing all the way through. The Alita front of house - Manvi, Shafi & Poppy. They looked after my partner for her birthday & always full of smiles. All the bar staff & Sandeep for looking after all of our needs. Also the dive crew, Marty for his excellent tutorship whilst first time diving. Massive 5 stars from us & we’ll be back as soon as possible. Thankyou!

The location was excellent. The atmosphere, the ambience was excellent rooms were simply wonderful.the overwater room with the pool gave us the utmost. Tjis was my second time.Lilith made us feel very special. We did not to ask. She was at our back and call 24/7. The dining room staff were ALL wonderful. The names are difficult i can remember Shifa and Thiloma but everyone of those wonderful people were on point and extremely helpful. The gentlemen at the poolbar were all so wonderful. I liked even the way they identified us from far. Always polite and willing to serve with respect. Ida at the Spa is so good. She can easily get you going to the spa everyday. The management team keep doing what you are doing. The staff is clean fresh. The service was excellent. I will come back as often as i can. You can be sure you have someone who will get the whole of South Africa to Mecure koodoo Maldives. One little hitch. You water sports (the dolphin viewing and the sunset cruise were a bit expensive for us South Africans. My recommendations: These two activities may be included in the all inclusive activities. The visit to the community can be continued. But the tour of the island should include the visit to the local hotel and the visitors to buy lunch in the hotel.
