Palm Wings Ephesus Beach Resort

Wanted to leave an informative review for anyone considering staying here (especially from the UK).

We’ve had a week here and overall it’s been lovely. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and clean. Between the 3 pools and the splash park, the beach there is plenty to do and plenty of sunbeds, you never have to worry about not getting a good spot.

The sunsets are absolutely beautiful here and going down to the beach to watch them or going to the sunset bar is special.

The staff are all absolutely lovely and work really hard.

We celebrated a special occasion whilst we were here and they gave us an extra night at the à la carte restaurant. The Italian was absolutely delicious.

There is however, room for improvement. I would say if you’re expecting 5 star it’s at the lower end possibly even less. Particularly the rooms, food and drinks. The rooms are spacious and clean but could do with an upgrade. Just little things like the shampoo and soap etc in the plastic commercial pumps lowers the standards, it didn’t affect our stay but just an observation.

It would be nice if there could be a no smoking area around the pools especially for those with young kids or women who are pregnant. My partner and I really struggled as everywhere you go smells of cigarettes, nothing to do with the hotel but would be nice to have a non smoking area around in the restaurant and by the pool.

Buffet food and drinks were just ok. It was edible but could be more varied maybe adding things into the buffet like Thai or Mexican or other cuisines to mix it up a bit.

The surface in the kids pool and one of the splash parks is so slippy it’s a big hazard. I fell myself and struggled to get up so did my son. The newer splash park underwater world is fine though.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. It was my first time visiting Kusadasi, and honestly, Palm Wings Ephesus cannot even compare to the five-star hotels in Antalya.

There isn’t even a proper changing area near the beach where guests can change out of their swimsuits. The beach bar didn’t even have a Margarita cocktail! The hotel gym is barely bigger than a small bedroom.

The hotel also has no exciting evening entertainment, dancing, parties, or lively nightlife. If you are looking for a fun and energetic atmosphere in the evenings, you will be very disappointed here.

Another serious issue is the snack bar. There were large red wasps constantly around the food and dining area, making it extremely uncomfortable and even frightening to eat. The hotel did not seem to take any effective measures to address the problem or ensure the comfort of its guests. In fact, I was so afraid of these large wasps that I couldn’t even eat a single meal at the snack bar during my stay.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I recommend Kusadasi as a holiday destination. If you have ever stayed at a five-star hotel in Antalya, you will immediately notice the huge difference in quality, facilities, entertainment, and overall experience.

I genuinely regret choosing this hotel. It was a very disappointing experience, and I expected so much more from a supposedly five-star resort.

Well, what can I say, we are regular visitors at this hotel visiting twice a year and again the hotel hasn't let us down this year from the minute we arrived 2 hour flight delay till the minute we left. Every time we visit we enjoy our holidays more and more , all the staff in every area are unbelievable and make our holiday so special, we can not fault them, they all work so hard and are so polite and nothing is to much trouble for them and we mean nothing is to much trouble for them they are all amazing ♥️♥️. We had a swim up room this time which was amazing , we did have a problem that occurred to the room with the room through no fault of the resort which was sorted out with great urgency and professionalism thank you reception team , maintenance team and Azid for the amazing response which never impacted our holiday at all due to the priority actions of all the staff involved 👍 A special big shout out and a massive thank you to Kelly as I was celebrating my birthday whilst at the hotel, and my family had organised a surprise through Kelly, which was absolutely amazing and so heartwarming ♥️ So a very big thank you Kelly and the team at the Mexican al la cart Raz and all the team for making my birthday a very special night 🎂. There have been negative reviews about the food but there are no problems at all with the food the selections are plentiful and there are theme nights the only problem with the food is the guests that leave the food warmers open and don't use the utensils supplied. Some guests I feel are very wasteful, having multiple plates of food on the table, which majority of it isn't eaten, so gets thrown away. There are chefs constantly walking around checking all the food and replenishing where needed and like all the staff the restaurant and kitchen staff are constantly working hard and are always polite and welcoming ♥️ and in all the years we have visited the hotel we have never had any issues regarding the food or anything else to be honest. The hotel is amazing, the grounds are clean , beautiful and are very well maintained constantly same as the all the pools and the beach. Myself and my wife would like to say a massive thank you to each and everyone of you and all your teams in your departments for all your hard work and professionalism and for making all our holidays at the hotel very very special as always. Going to miss the after pool drinks and nuts it's a tradition of ours 🙈 We have already booked twice next year to return and we can not wait as we miss you all already 🇹🇷. We would like to wish each and everyone of you good health and a well deserved break in the closed season after working so so hard . Take care all of you see you next year 🇹🇷♥️👍
