The place to be in Kusadasi

This was our 5th visit to the Hotel this time for longer for the first time many previous staff appear to have left for whatever reason & now many non Turkish workers employed which appears to have slightly de stabilised the system maybe training or language issues.

The refurbishment has certainly improved the overall standard & look of the Hotel the pool area ,restaurant & Lobby Bar, rooms have been updated with USB points and a revised room layout including bathroom with improved shower , mirrors & lighting, (maybe worth considering a grab handle in the shower for safety). Food, facilities & previous staff as consistent & professional as ever would personally like to thank the Cleaner (Belgin & Indonesian girl ) Lobby Bar ( Serif) & Reception (Aysen ) Receiption Manager ( Serkan bey ) & ( Sevilay ) & the young boys who operate the Pool Towels always cheerful & probably forgotten.

Slightly disappointed with a call from reception saying they needed to check air-con which was working fine I said ok waited 1 hour no one arrived or called luckily my wife speaks Turkish rang again to ask when someone was coming they said on the way . Three people arrived 2 men & women did not check air-con man made excuse with a screwdriver on cupboard door complete nonsense, nothing to adjust, and whatever he did made it worse for closing. My wife went to reception to discuss as the reason given to us appeared to be an excuse just to look in room (maybe by cleaning department ) was told by Customer Relations the women who came to the room was from Design if this was the case why not check another room or vacant room why ours also why say Air-con problem my wife was made to feel awkward as to the alleged reason/excuse. A professional approach would have been on the day to offer some form of compensation/apology not financial maybe an al a carte meal as opposed to a plate of dried fruit a gesture of goodwill at the very least.

If you are a regular visitor there appears to be a Loyalty Card scheme although have never been told by Reception or openly advertised even after 5 visits which strikes me as surprising, even if it was only a basket of fruit & free al carte meal once a week, the offer would have been nice.

Suggest still need to improve Evening entertainment for atmosphere maybe live authentic Turkish music in the Lobby Bar currently just a piano & guitar evenings.

Sunbeds are still reserved with Towels from 7am by some in different areas who then believe to go on a trip for the day a bed will still be available when they return . Hotel do have a policy where towels will be removed if left for a period of time unattended unfortunately this was rarely enforced.

Would also suggest the Fire Alarm Test is conducted at the time they say it’s an important exercise (hopefully never required) as opposed to 3/4 minutes later and implemented correctly no one checked the room to see if people had vacated the rooms to the Fire escapes as announced and no all clear was given to say it was complete, even if a test.

Separately, the shop in the Hotel needs to review prices of items Sun Creams, Hair products as they are very expensive recognise everyone needs to make a profit even if it’s a franchise but now guests are buying in the town in Gratis or similar for a much cheaper price. This is also applicable to the Hairdresser/Barber 25/30 Euro for a men’s haircut is expensive compared to the town where a good haircut can be 600/800TL (14 Euro).

Water Aerobics needs to have different music each week the same for 3 weeks is tedious and it’s become more of a dance show not aerobics as demonstrated by very few or none participating.

Always recommend a Sea View Room on the pool side higher floor to be quieter views are spectacular both during the day & evening.

In talking with a few regulars at the Hotel like us many said they may miss a year as the atmosphere & staff in some areas was not as before in some aspects , hopefully the system will stabilise & return to the previous reliable operation.

Consider a few tables outside on terrace lobby bar for 2 people or single people rather than 1 person sitting at a table for 4 persons.

This full review was written as a repeat visitor based on observations & not to be read as criticism purely aimed to highlight potential issues or improvements however small to the Management from a Customer perspective who may wish to address or consider in the future.

Overall a good Holiday just a few tweaks/improvements to enhance the experience more, would always recommend the Hotel if staying in Kusadasi.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional stay — we will definitely return!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at KoruMar Deluxe Hotel in Kuşadası and genuinely felt it lived up to it’s five-star reputation. From the beautiful setting to the exceptional food and service, we were incredibly impressed.

The food was sensational. There was a huge variety throughout our stay, everything was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented, with plenty of choice for everyone. I really loved how a lot of the food was traditional so we got to explore foods we’ve never tried before! The room was also fantastic — modern, spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We had a sea view room (was only about £60pp more to upgrade and was definitely worth it)! The views were beautiful and really made the stay feel extra special, especially the mornings and the sunset over the sea!

The pool area was brilliant, with a huge pool, plenty of space and lots of sunbeds. There were also several different bar areas, so it never felt overcrowded. The pool café was great throughout the day for drinks, grilled foods, pizzas, burgers, ice cream and light snacks.

The private beach area was another highlight. It was really easy to access thanks to the outdoor elevator, and there was a separate bar for guests using the beach. The sea was lovely to swim in, and the jetty was a great spot for sunbathing and snorkelling too.

There was also plenty to explore around the hotel grounds, with beautiful views and quieter areas to relax. There were swing benches and hammocks dotted around, which were perfect for reading or simply getting away from the rest of the hotel area.

Although the hotel isn’t advertised as adults-only, we actually found the atmosphere to be exactly what we wanted as a young couple without children. The majority of guests seemed to be Turkish, with lots of German and Polish guests too, and there were very few children around. It meant we could enjoy a peaceful holiday without the usual noise and splashing you might get at a family resort. There is a children’s play area available for families who do visit, but it didn’t affect the overall atmosphere during our stay.

The Guest Relations team deserve a huge special mention. They were absolutely exceptional. Before our holiday, I contacted the hotel to arrange a surprise for my partner’s 30th birthday, and their communication was brilliant from start to finish. They helped with every enquiry and even assisted with planning and decorating our room, which made the surprise so special.

The concierge service was also excellent. They brought our suitcases up to our room upon arrival, then on checkout day, they had a weight we could use to weigh our cases (as we forgot to pack one!) We had to leave our room and checkout at 12pm but our transfer wasn’t until 7pm. Our luggage was securely stored, and we were still able to use the hotel’s facilities, including eating and drinking. We were also able to use the spa facilities to shower and get ready before our transfer, which was incredibly convenient.

We were able to exchange British pounds into Turkish lira at reception, although there was a small conversion charge, so this is worth being aware of but this didn’t bother us really as it was convenient and expected.

The newly built marina was a short walk away (about 15 mins) and there was plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. We also took a trip to Ephesus (on an evening, about 40 euro each) and this was stunning. Highly recommend visiting on an evening as the sun sets and you can see their light show!

Our only real negatives were the all-inclusive drinks selection and entertainment. Some cocktails, including an espresso martini, weren’t included and came at an additional cost. The evening entertainment wasn’t really to our taste, and the daytime aqua fit routine became repetitive as it was the same every day. We also found the repeated approaches from staff asking us to participate in activities such as archery and shooting a little annoying after being asked several times. The gym could also use a little improvement. My partner found that the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and there weren’t many free weights. A squat rack would be a great addition.

Despite these small points, we absolutely loved our stay. The location, views, food, facilities and especially the staff made this a fantastic holiday.

KoruMar Deluxe Hotel has definitely left a lasting impression on us and we will absolutely be returning. We have already told our families about our stay and they are looking to book their holiday next year here! We would also happily recommend it to other couples looking for a beautiful, relaxing and luxurious stay in Kuşadası🇹🇷❤️

AMAZING!!!!

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour and this resort was gorgeous and such a highlight for me! The hotel and grounds over look the Aegean Sea. We had sea view rooms with a balcony and the view was just stunning. The rooms were spacious and up to date. The grounds were well kept and just walking through them, with the hidden stairs and the flowers really gave Santorini like vibes but without the crowds. The beach was also very nice and the water was crystal clear. The only downside is that the beach area is small and the loungers get all taken. I do think many people just leave their stuff on the loungers all day even though they are not present so the staff needs to do a better job enforcing that loungers cannot be hogged that way. The outdoor pool is huge! There is an indoor pool and spa as well but I did not visit that. Dinner here is amazing. There are so many food stations with a vast variety of food including meat being freshly grilled. They also had the most amazing chocolate soufflés being made fresh. Eating out on the terrace while watching the stunning sunset over the water is just breathtaking! Breakfast is also ample and delicious. I really wish we could've stayed here longer and was sad to leave. I will have to come back one day!

Amazing hotel

I loved this hotel, the staff the cleanliness was 10/10 the food was amazing and so much to choose from, there was absolutely nothing I could fault, staff are very professional and a lot of places within the hotel to eat and drink at all times. Location is just breathtaking and so easy to hop on a minibus to reach town, literally minutes picks up from in front of hotel and drops you back In Front of hotel. The rooms are modern and very very clean, the hotel has what I would call an obsessive cleaning disorder 🤣. Seriously this hotel has it all and is in a beautiful location. I will definitely return.

★★★★★ An unforgettable stay – outstanding accessibility and wonderful staff

I travelled to Korumar Hotel De Luxe alone, and as a wheelchair user, accessibility is extremely important to me. I can genuinely say that when it comes to accessibility, this hotel is outstanding.

Throughout my stay, I felt comfortable and independent because I was able to access almost everywhere in the hotel. There are lifts throughout the building, a lift providing access to the pool area, a pool lift chair that allowed me to get into the swimming pool, and another lift providing access to the lower level by the sea.

My accessible room was exceptionally well designed. The bathroom was spacious, with plenty of room to enter and move around in my wheelchair, and access to the balcony was made possible with ramps. The room itself looked recently renovated, was beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean.

The hotel grounds are fairly simple, but generally very accessible for a wheelchair user. The only accessibility issue I found was on the lower level near the sea, where some of the ramps/slopes are quite steep and could be difficult for a wheelchair user.

The views, however, are absolutely breathtaking. The views of the Aegean Sea were one of the highlights of my holiday. There are two terraces with beautiful panoramic views, and simply sitting there looking out over the sea was something special.

The staff deserve enormous praise. From the restaurant staff and waiters to reception and the lifeguards around the pool, people were incredibly kind and helpful. What impressed me most was that staff often offered assistance before I even had to ask.

During lunch and dinner, staff would offer to help me get food from the buffet and carry my plate to the table. Around the pool, the lifeguards regularly came over to ask whether I needed anything and helped me use the pool lift. The hotel staff also took care of my luggage both when I arrived and when I departed.

Housekeeping was excellent. My room was cleaned every day and was always spotless.

A special shout-out goes to the gentleman at reception who helped me on my final day. Unfortunately, I don't know his name, but he appeared to be a senior member of the team, possibly a manager. He allowed me to keep my room for longer because I needed access to a shower before leaving. As someone travelling alone with a disability, gestures like this make a real difference, and I genuinely appreciated it.

One small issue is that not all members of staff speak English. However, this never became a serious problem because whenever communication was difficult, they would find another member of staff who could speak English and help.

If I had to choose the biggest downside of my stay, it would be the food. This is not because I disliked Turkish food or Turkish flavours, but I would have appreciated a wider variety of international dishes and different flavours. Turkish flavours were present in a large proportion of the food, and after several days I found myself wishing for more variety. For me, this is the main area where the hotel could improve.

The bars were clean and pleasant, and I enjoyed the drinks. I would, however, have liked them to stay open a little later, as they close around midnight.

The evening entertainment could also be improved. I would have enjoyed more frequent, varied and longer evening programmes, particularly as someone travelling alone.

I felt very safe and relaxed throughout my stay. The hotel has security at the entrance, which added to that feeling of safety.

Travelling alone as a wheelchair user means that accessibility and helpful staff can make an enormous difference to the whole experience. At Korumar, both made my holiday memorable. Instead of constantly thinking about obstacles or how I was going to manage something, I was able to relax and enjoy my holiday.

If every hotel took accessibility this seriously, travelling would be so much easier for wheelchair users.

Would I return? Absolutely. Especially if there were a wider variety of food choices, I would happily stay here again.

Finally, I want to say thank you to every single member of staff who helped me during my stay and made an effort to make my holiday easier and as free from obstacles as possible.

You made a real difference to my holiday. You have my respect and my sincere thanks.

Thank you, Korumar Hotel De Luxe. ❤️
