We have been visiting this wonderful hotel over for a weekend break.
Grand Hotel Ontur, is a ‘MUST VISIT’! Beautifully located hotel, clean and perfectly organized with extremely friendly staff. Travelling with family, we enjoyed the extensive recreation and entertainment facilities, the variety of Restaurants & Bars, and the SPA. Our room was spacious, perfectly clean with all amenities which all together made our stay a memorable one.
Thank you very much to Mrs. Gökçe Kesikciler Buğday, Cluster General Manager & her team.
We shall be back soon!
This was my second time staying at this hotel for my birthday, returning due to a fantastic experience last time. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, but there are a few areas where the hotel could improve.
The staff, as always, were friendly and incredibly helpful. They made the experience feel warm and welcoming. However, the hotel itself is beginning to show its age. It’s clear that some parts of the property could use renovation to keep up with modern standards.
One of the highlights of this hotel is its beach—easily the nicest in the Çeşme area. The water is crystal clear, and swimming amongst the many fish was such a joy. It’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves the sea, and I had a great time swimming there.
The food at the hotel is consistently high-quality. The restaurant staff were exceptional, especially Mr. Malik, who surprised us with complimentary Turkish chai, Mr. Urçun (or Mr. Smile as I like to call him), and the lovely Miss Zehra. Their friendly service made each meal feel special.
Another standout feature is the hotel's thermal pool and spa. I loved the large, beautiful Turkish bath, which was calming and luxurious. For my birthday, I treated myself to a traditional Turkish hammam with kese and foam—it was the most relaxing experience I’ve ever had, especially when they covered me with the foam. The spa staff were kind and professional, making it a truly memorable experience. Unfortunately, some parts of the spa, like the steam sauna, were out of order, which was disappointing. But the disinfectant pool was a unique and cool feature.
Evenings at the hotel were made extra special with a singer who performed during dinner. Their beautiful voice added a magical touch to each night. For my birthday, my mom surprised me with a delicious cake, and the staff went the extra mile by playing the happy birthday song and gifting me a special cocktail. It made for the best birthday celebration I’ve ever had!
Overall, while the hotel could benefit from some renovations, my experience was still amazing. I hope they update the property soon, as I’d love to return next summer for another birthday celebration.
Our stay at Grand Hotel Ontur Çeşme was just phenomenal! From arrival, the staff was incredibly welcoming, their warmth and genuine smiles truly stood out. The whole resort was immaculately clean. Our room and all common areas were spotless. And the open buffet!!! No words, the variety and taste was consistently amazing. We even cancelled our dinner plans outside to not to miss the buffet at the hotel. Kids had so much fun at the pools with slides, adults enjoyed the cabana and the beach.
We left totally refreshed and already dreaming of returning. If you want an exceptional family vacation with top-notch service, food, and amenities, I highly recommend.
Where the large swimming pool there is a large slide which children loves it however floor around the pool is porcelain tile extremely slippery I fell hurt my arm and next my daughter fell twice she hurt her neck, at the jacuzzi tile is broken when I enter jacuzzi with my daughter razor sharp broken tiles cut her toe, one tile stabbed my toe and my other toe fractured. There is no responsible pool guard either. Caution !
The hotel was generally nice, but it felt neglected and there were some shortcomings. For example, there was a table tennis table but no rackets or balls, and a billiard table but no cues. The waterslide was closed most of the time for various reasons. In addition, some of the toilets were often dirty and seemed as if they were never cleaned.
