Cesme

Enjoying most beautiful sea views and sunsets, this hotel is situated in a fantastic beachfront location on a plot of 17,000 m2 on the western coast of Turkey. The picturesque village of Alaçati with its shops and restaurants is 3 km away, the larger resort of Çeşme is at 15 km. Ilica Beach and Alaçati Marina are within 15 minutes. Izmir and the Izmir-Adnan Menderes Airport are at a distance of about 80 km and 90 km, respectively.

Not for foreigners

A definite plus is that the hotel has beach access, making it easy to find a free sunbed by the pool, if not on the beach. Another advantage is that the Dolmus shuttles stop right in front of the hotel. It's a short walk to the marina. Unfortunately, the hotel is definitely geared exclusively towards Turkish guests. 90% of the staff doesn't speak English. The rooms are a bit worn, with a torn bed, many broken sunbeds by the pool, and some pool towels are now completely unusable. Bathroom towels are changed daily, and water is delivered to the room (canned drinks were also supposed to be provided, but we only received them twice a week). Unfortunately, there's no toilet paper or hand soap – don't expect the maid to provide it. I had to go to reception specifically to ask for it – the receptionist said someone would bring it, but no one did. The next day, I had to chase the maid down the hall for toilet paper and soap. I received the toilet paper, but the soap was supposed to be delivered later, but she didn't. So, for the third time, I had to go to the reception desk to ask for soap – no apologies or anything, is this how you treat a guest? The second problem is, in such a "posh" hotel, you have to ask for hand soap? There was often no place to sit in the restaurant, and there was often no cutlery, so you had to find your own. Additionally, the food served at the restaurant is rather cool/cold. The staff walked around with a trolley and offered drinks, but only to Turkish guests. At night, there's probably a party at the hotel nearby every day, with very loud music until 1 a.m., so you probably won't get much sleep if you have a road-facing room. At 1 or 2 a.m., the lobby floor is cleaned with a loud machine, which can be heard in the rooms. There's a line at the bar, you stand and wait – Turkish guests are served immediately and first. The hotel also has no entertainment; in the afternoon, a DJ plays some sets at the bar. There's a snack bar only on the beach from 4 to 6 p.m. In short, if you're from abroad, especially Poland, I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel is nothing special and the staff has no respect for you.

I had a wonderful stay at Seya Beach Hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Seya Beach Hotel. Everything was excellent, and the hospitality was truly special. A very special thank you to Meine and Buket at the front desk for their kindness, professionalism, and warm welcome. They made me feel genuinely valued and made my stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Abdelhalim osman

Overpriced services

The hotel itself is very worn and in need of repairs. The cost of accommodation (all-inclusive) is high and does not correspond at all to the quality of service provided by this hotel. At this price, the quality of service, food variety, room cleaning, and maintenance of the hotel's condition should be at the highest level. Upon check-in, we were asked to wait due to cleaning and preparing the room for occupancy. When we finally checked in, we found that the room had not been properly cleaned—there were stains on the tables, remnants of hair from previous guests in the bathroom, and the toilet was not clean. The faucet in the sink couldn’t be fully opened because when you lift the handle, it hits the metal rim of the mirror. Each day, we received three bottles of 0.5 liters of water. Food in the restaurant ran out quickly, and there were not enough clean dishes, so we had to search for clean plates. There were very few waitstaff in the main restaurant. Drinks like Pepsi, Sprite, water, ayran, icetea were served by just one waiter who pushed a cart with these drinks (this was a first for us). It took a long time to wait for him to reach our table with the cart, and we often had to manage on our own. Alcoholic drinks (only local alcoholic drinks are included in the price) are not offered in the main restaurant; they have to be ordered at the beach bar. There is a catastrophic lack of tables in the main restaurant, so it is necessary to arrive early to secure a table. A taxi to the center (Alaçatı costs around 1000 lira, and it’s even more to Çeşme if going by highway).

Excellent Service and a Professional Recovery

Our arrival did not begin well. We had a serious issue with the condition of the room not the kind of small “the room was a little dirty” complaint that can simply be overlooked. It genuinely made us question whether we should stay.

Buket, the Guest Relations Manager, handled the situation very professionally. She listened with real understanding, arranged for a detailed cleaning under the supervision of the housekeeping manager, and offered to let us stay for one night and cancel the rest of our reservation without charge if we were still not satisfied. That approach gave us the confidence to give the hotel a fair chance.

After that, we had a very good stay. The food was genuinely good, the waiters were consistently friendly, and the bartenders and barmaids were equally warm and attentive. More broadly, the hotel felt well run: things worked smoothly, and the staff seemed to take real pride in their work rather than simply going through the motions.

The housekeeping staff member also came back to apologise and was very attentive throughout the rest of our stay.

Was everything perfect? No. But despite the difficult first impression, we are happy that we stayed and had a genuinely enjoyable holiday. We will probably try different places in the future as well, but if we return to Alaçatı, Design Plus Seya Beach is a hotel we would feel comfortable choosing again.

Amazing Chefs and the Nicest Staff!

This hotel is exceptional because of how nice and attentive the staff is; from the chefs and service staff in the restaurant, to the entertainment team. They went above and beyond to put together a birthday party for our kid, even with only couple hours of notice. They even made a cake just for the birthday party and made sure the day felt special.

Special thanks to the Executive Chef of this hotel, Özkan Chef, Berivan Chef, Moris, Buket Hn., İlgim Hn. and Dj. Ozzy and our housekeeping lady Esra Hn.

They also host fun workshops that are great for both adults and kids. The location is also great to explore the city. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun at the same time. Rooms are clean and spacious. There is music playing throughout the day, but was not too noisy. Overall great value, and would definitely recommend.
